I`m definitely feeling proud that we seem to have a lot of players getting international recognition at the moment.
Obviously there`s a lot of positives for the individual players involved and the call ups all raise the profile of the club more generally, but there are also downsides in terms of disruption to training, fatigue from travel and potential injuries.
Does anyone know whether there`s a direct financial benefit to the club when players get called up to play for their national teams? Also, what happens with player wages? Presumably there`s some kind of FIFA/UEFA policy for international player wages.

Don`t get any compensation at the moment AFAIK but for major tournaments the clubs do, so we should get something for Amade playing in AFCON, and if Abdulai makes the Ghana squad fir the World Cup we could net a tidy sum.

Our players are also going in the "shop window " unfortunately, a good thing for the club`s finances, as long as they are under contract to us !
JCM is the obvious worry🤔🥲

I think in all reality, he is gone already for me. He has been a great addition but his talents are clearly above championship level and all we can do is wish him the best. I expect we will get something for him in the winter window and he will be gone and the very best wishes from me. He deserves it. He took a punt at coming to Dunfermline and it really worked out well for him. I really wish he could stay with us, but I doubt it.

Yeah. Best we can hope for is he signs a pre contract for someone in winter and we get a fee and add ons plus keep him for the rest of the season.

Much as I`d love to get money for JCM - I can`t see it. He`s a fantastic player, but I don`t think anyone targeting him needs him so badly that they`ll pay a fee in Jan. Much more likely they`ll wait until the summer and pick him up for nothing.
Best we can hope for, I think, is that he goes in Jan with a sell on clause.

I would hope would try to keep JCM on on a 2 year deal. He has improved under us and needs at least another season to get a good deal to move on. Thit is unless we get promoted next season.

No chance he`s signing a new deal, just need to enjoy him while he`s here this season.
I reckon we`ll keep him in Jan but will be away to the Prem for free in the summer. Hibs or Dundee Utd would be my guess.
