Do you think they have a WhatsApp group? Having it in for him after his comments about the last sh&t ref at Ross County. Another inept performance from the man in the middle. Really frustrating

One of those referees that thinks we are there to watch him, not the game. Some absolutely ridiculous decisions and some crazy bookings. You wonder how on earth they can get so much wrong in a game?

Minutes silence never happened, everyone just started clapping after the last post instead of remaining silent. A bit of a farce should have been announced what was happening.

The st Johnstone fans seem to be unhappy that we got fouls for quite obvious fouls, am no doing this whole aye ref was bad for both teams caper, he was a complete shambles against us. Their second goal even went in when he refused to let Hamilton on even when the assistant had put the board up

He seemed quite happy to be getting booed by the home fans as he had a big grin on his face as he was walking off at half and full time.

The ref had a shocker today as did the assistant at the North West.
It was very noticeable we ONLY got decisions towards the end of the game as they must have recognised how utterly sh1te they were previously.
I enjoyed the rant at them which I don’t have much chance to do with stewards as I decided to go to the back where we can stand up.

It seems as soon as a game gets tasty the refs at this level completely lose the plot.
They just hand out cards for nothing, knowing they missed one earlier.
The fees they get paid are high (900 plus expenses for top flight, 350 plus expenses at Championship), they are part time, but many of them will earn in fees more than the players they are officiating in.
It`s time they are given more training, and be harder on them, if they slip up, demote them, the performances need to be analysed.

Ex-ref Bobby Madden was on Sportsound yesterday when they were discussing referees/VAR etc and he suggested that maybe some of the younger refs were being promoted too early. He said there was a need to recruit more refs now and this put pressure on standards. When you think about it there must be increased demand with the need for fourth officials, VAR officials and assistants and the increasing popularity of women`s football. For supply to meet demand maybe the time isn`t available to train and develop refs fully before they are required to perform at the highest level.

In the last 20 mins Saint J decided to play more defensive and commit tactical fouls. In that case I am all for the ref booking each foul. The Saints fans acting like they were completely clean for 90 mins and the ref lost them the match.
The worst call in the match was Barney`s supposed elbow/slap on the Saint defender. Cost us a clear chance on goal.

I sensed early on that the referee was a likely disaster waiting to happen - he allowed opponents to immediately stand over freekicks (both sides were guilty) without warning the offenders to stop.
When streetsmart players realise they can get away with minor routine challenges to the officials authority they will persist pushing the envelope.
I didn`t think he was particulary bad or good in the first half, however the second 45 minutes .....................
Can`t disagree with the yellow cards - all appeared justifiable.

Did he not miss the St J deliberate hand ball, gave the foul but not the card?

And then proceeded to book Hammy for the protest? Probably also did not notice that our captaincy has changed to Hammy - I’m sure I saw Hammy pointing to the captains band after he got booked.

St J fans questioning a lot of decisions as well. I do think we got a couple of soft free kicks tbh. The problem is he missed some of the obvious fouls and gave some light ones.
One or 2 mistakes can be forgiven but it was consistent poor decisions all match long.

The ref yesterday is no worse than previous numpty
Refs, there has been some shocking
decisions from most of the refs at our games.
The worst one was probably, the one
at Dingwall, Lennon was truly pissed
off with that idiot.

Its a LOTG/Game management piece. In isolation the decisons arent "wrong" but from watching the game he allowed a lot of physical stuff go both ways for the first 70-75mins then seemed to start giving a foul every time contact was made, more little niggly things than overly aggressive. Can see why fans get frustrated by that.
