Big weekend for our 7 (seven) players away on international duty this weekend.
Tonight, Alfons Amade played the full game for Mozambique in a friendly against Morocco. His side lost 1 - 0 in front of a crowd of 60,000.
Tomorrow we will have our lads in action for Scotland U19s and U21s. I remember getting excited when we had 1 sole call up, Chris McGroarty. Then there were the days of Nicolson and Crawford getting in the full Scotland Team. Can anyone remember a time when we had so many players getting international recognition?

Whilst it is good to get recognition for the players, it’s a million miles off the days when we had 2 fully fledged senior Scotland internationalists. That’s proper call ups.
We have 1 senior call up with Mozambique, none of the young lads will be called anywhere near the senior team whilst playing with us.

Remind me how paying the going rate for full internationalists worked out for us?

We are a Scottish championship side with 7 players involved at different international levels. I can’t find a single negative thing to say about that but it doesn’t surprise me that someone on here can.

^^^^ I`m with AP on this.
Very proud of my team and the progress they are making. Still some distance to go but we can all clearly see the vast improvements on/off the pitch.
At the very least, the international call-ups will be great experience for our youngsters and will give them a shot of adrenalin. It will also possibly put them on the radar for potential purchases by bigger clubs

I`d be more worried about the national team if full internationals were coming from the Championship tbh.

This.
I don`t think I`ve ever taken such an interest in a Scotland U-19 match as I did last week when we played Latvia. Big one on Tuesday against the auld enemy (another 10am kick off, hope someone can share a stream link!)

We have seven players representing their country.
We have three players in the u21s and it looks like JCM is a bit of a fixture in that squad. Barney`s career has definitely been turbo charged by the last couple of months at EEP and Andy Tod gets plaudits every time we`re on TV.
I don`t get the need to search for a cloud to go with the silver lining.

The fact our younger players are getting international recognition even at 19s,21s, level will put a higher transfer fee on them if and when they leave.
