for punishment i watched the highlights
For me Too many defenders these days back off and back off instead of making a tackle further up the park , they are quite content to let a forward player get close enough to the box where they can get a shot away ! for me Mullen could have tackled Fitzpatrick further up the park , then Terrell didn`t help either for me that should have been saved , im maybe being harsh but only giving an honest opinion , Partick were not much better than us on the night , looked like the longer the game went on the slippier it was getting , the game with Queens park was called off for less , anyway we could still be playing and not score , a bad night at the office all round we have a young team and we know this can happen from time to time , maybe another factor was us having so many players away on International duty as i saw some tired bodies out there , never mind on to Saturday
also noted just like saturday past , too many wrong options made when passing or sometimes not passing when it should have been , suppose this will come with maturity

I think he meant from Lennon.
Lennon sounded pretty dejected at the performance. Expect a raft of changes this weekend.

I enjoyed listening to the match on Pars TV - good to have Bene adding to the commentary. My overall feeling from that, and from reading posters` comments about the match, was that Partick were a cut above us.
So I was surprised, when I watched the highlights, to find that we had 3 or 4 excellent chances to score. Lennon was right, we could have got something out of the game. It`s the age old problem - needing to convert more of our chances. Need more goal-scorer`s instinct. Can it be developed and learned?

Instinct: when driving in reverse around a corner, I know I have to start turning before I think I should. Should footballers have a similar idea when shooting - i.e. overcompensate - always aim as if the goals are only 5 feet high and make that extra bit effort to keep the ba` under the bar!
