Count on the Pars - Volunteers needed
Our successful Schools Engagement Programme is introducing a new programme for P6/7 primary school pupils. “Count on the Pars” will use the stadium at East End Park for a morning of fun maths/numeracy practical activities, using the stadium as a vehicle to help mainly primary 7 improve their numeracy.
Pupils will go round 4 “stations” - hospitality, the shop, the Undercroft and pitchside - to count, calculate, measure - a range of tasks designed to improve their maths skills.
We’ve had a great response from local schools and hope to get the ball rolling after Easter 2026. None of our programmes run over school holidays.
Volunteers will have full training in all activities next March. You don’t need to be a Maths teacher to help! Volunteers will probably need PVG clearance (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) to work with young people.
If you have some time to spare on a Wednesday morning, between 9 30 - 12 noon, starting next March/April, please contact me, using the heading “Count on the Pars” the email address below.
