And by the looks of their website, they are selling a block of seats to home fans in the away stand?

Maybe you’re looking at the wrong stand?
On the RR website I can see that the ticket allocation in the away end is set out as normal, and with disabled and carer seats front two rows.

Have a look at the home support ticket allocation, they appear to be selling the north stand block nearest Pratt St to home fans 🤷

It’s not, the two sections nearest Pratt Street are unavailable except the disabled section nearest the pitch. If you click through the home fans ticket options they can select a seat in the section numbered 82-106.
Utterly pathetic and moronic from the wee team, one thing to create a cartoon after a game but this petty act will be trouble.

Ah I see!
So I tried to choose a seat in the away end - but as home support - but it’s still saying Not Available so I’m wondering if they are only selling the middle section to the railway end. Perhaps there’s issues with that part of the stand nearest Pratt St?

So I’ve got more information. In October there was damage due to high wind in a section of the home end and home fans were moved to the North Stand.
“Due to wind damage to the Penman Stand, all supporters who have bought tickets there will now be located in the North Stand.
Please use your current Fanbase ticket when entering the North Stand.”
It’s not ideal and really can be contentious and there will no doubt police / stewards between us and them.
A friend has also suggested that it might be a section where DAFC could sell tickets.

That was just during the week was it not for their challenge Cup game? At the moment, the website shows only a set of stairs between both sets of fans. Not sure how that can be policed? Got to be a programming glitch, hopefully anyway as my seat is on the aisle next to the `home` end!

They posted it 4 days ago. Got to assume its just an error in their system due to this as it just wouldn`t be allowed to happen. We can`t even walk down Pratt Street after the game now never mind let us sit next to them.

I`m a bit surprised at how few tickets we`ve actually been given. Between the various blanked-out seats at either side, and in front and at the back of the stand, it appears that we`ve only been allocated roughly 50% of the north stand. For a massively important derby, on a saturday over Christmas, surely we could have filled the entire stand easily?
By the looks of it, we`ve had our allocation severely restricted, and are having to share the stand with home fans (judging by the home fan section on fanbase). Seems a bit odd.

Looks like whatever mistake has now been rectified, and we`ve got the entire north stand. If you go to RR website, click tickets, then on the mat h and select away fans you can buy tickets. I tried to paste a link but it`s not working for me!

It’s better opening the Fanbase app through the Pars official site. Fanbase seems to be glitching on iOS and only allowing you to view tickets from a home perspective 🤟

Looking at availability on Fanbase, there`s approx 30 seats left in the away end. I`m not sure what our original allowance was, but safe to say it`ll sell out. Common sense should mean the sections down either side of the away stand would be put up for sale, but I`m not sure if that`ll happen

Bore off. Your point is only relevant if the away end is sold out. It`s not, they are just withholding seats and making people choose at the front to squeeze us all into the centre. Open the rest up (which has now been done) so people can buy decent seats.
Some of us are old enough to remember being able to walk up and pay at the gate, as opposed to being called `silly` by supposed fellow supporters for not buying weeks in advance.
There will be loads of empty seats tomorrow, so giving Rovers your money weeks in advance seems more `silly` to me.

It has never been this and really annoys me when people think they can sit anywhere despite having an allocated seat. Would you do this at the theatre or on a plane? People with children pick their seats in advance to ensure they are together. I always make sure I have an aisle seat as my ASN child can`t manage sitting next to strangers. Anyone sitting in my chosen seats will be be politely asked to move!

Strongly agree with this ChillPar. I`d actually be in favour of unallocated seating in general for matches that aren`t all that busy but in instances like this, just sit in your damn seat and don`t be selfish. Especially in an era where you`re literally choosing them yourself online rather than being handed a random allocation. It`s so ignorant otherwise.

I nearly ended up with a sore face on the last occasion as people wouldn’t move when I arrived. I pick my seats because of my eyesite, lads wouldn’t leave my seats and started getting aggressive. I just left it and sat elsewhere, where it was harder for me to see, just because I didn’t want any aggro.

Never said I endorsed it. The stewards don’t enforce the allocated seating. However if a specific seat is so precious to you then get there early.

The last 5/6 games at Starks have been sit anywhere, so there won’t be an issue as long as you get there in plenty time.
As has been said, no it’s not, and people like you grind my gears with this! I’m all in favour of no seat allocations, but there is.
I`ll arrive as close to kick off as usual to ensure my child isn`t overwhelmed and will sit in the seats I have bought and paid for. Your comment is completely ignorant of that.

Are they playing funny b*ggers to keep our support down?🤔😡
Rovers proclaiming 6000 tickets sold!
They do this, McPake’s last Fife derby, there were loads of tweets that the home end was close to selling out, as we had made a post saying over 1500 fans were making the journey through. Night of the game, all tweets deleted, and not even close to selling out the home end.

No need for the patronising last line. I shouldn’t need to get there earlier than 15 mins before Kick Off. I have a ticket for that seat.
Apologies for picking up your post wrong, I thought you were endorsing it, my mistake.
