Total attendance for the six matches (BBC figures) was 5866, pretty dismal.
I know lots of fans (and probably some managers) deride the Challenge Cup as a joke competition that shouldn`t be taken seriously, but for most of the clubs who take part it`s the only national silverware any of them is ever likely to win.

The prize money`s not bad either.
I see Allan and Wotherspoon scored for Caley in the penalty shoot-out but Turner missed for Thistle. Jake Sutherland and Freddie Rowe played the full game for Forfar and East Fife and Zeke Cameron started for Stenny but was subbed in the second half.

It`s a diddy cup, but with the money that`s now available for a good run or winning it, it`s about time we started picking up the trophy.
The runs we have had in all cups for the past 15 or so years have been shocking for a club our size

"Wee team heading for a cup final, when will we ever hear the end of that" they won it and then "shared" it back to back meaning unbeaten for best part of 2 years in the competion and hardly gets a mention.
Tell a Rovers fan that airdrie potentially stand between them and a trophy and the response will be "thats us f@cked then" an absolute bogie team for them.

Not heard much about the last time they won this to be fair, and that was against one half of Glasgows “best”…….
