This wee video shows us a rare and magnificent view of a full East End Park from the perspective of a Hibs fan in the away end on Saturday.
It is a tantalising prospect that if we were to settle and do well in the Premier, the ground could look like that most weeks.

TBH - I was a bit disappointed with empty seats in the Norrie. We couldn’t have sold many more than 5,000 tickets.
I still remember home end turnouts of 11-12000 for games against Meadowbank and Clyde in the grand old days of Leish.

In fairness, a lot of folk haven`t been paid since Christmas, and the game was live on BBC.
3 stands sold out completely, with a smattering of seats left in the NMc? Cannae grumble at that.

These days are unlikely to return, Dunpar. For one thing, football is much more expensive now and as pointed out above, the game was live on the BBC and at inconvenient time for any fans who travel a fair distance.Given the circumstances, it was an excellent turn out and Hibs fans certainly played their part by turning out in impressive numbers.
Not your average Sunday League player.

I`m sure I seen Hibs had 4300 tickets so best part of 6k in the home end. None too shabby.

Attendance 10,350, Hibs sold 4,300. You`re correct we didn`t sell more than 5,000. We sold more than 6,000.

We filled 3/4 of the main stand, the whole NW and 8/10ths of the Norrie. Thats great support when there is no season tickets valid and the game on TV at 12.30.

While it was disappointing to see some empty seats in the Norrie, this game bucked the trend with the large attendance. Home support in other cup ties was below or well below a normal league game.
Also, don`t forget the Pars fans who watched the game overseas on PARStv :-)

Was there as much infitration by Hibs` fans into traditional Pars` sections as was anticipated? Maybe they were subdued by their team`s performance but there didn`t seem to be that much evidence of it.

I suspected a guy beside me. Was quiet throughout and caught him shaking his head when Hibs missed a header but he covered himself well by pretending to be happy when we scored.

Didn’t think there was many Hibees in the home end, although I did spot someone in the highlights behind the goal looking comically glum when we scored. So thought, hmmm mibees ayes, mibees naws.

Look at some of the pics of the celebrations on social media, There were about a dozen pars fans in the section we were in in the main stand, rest of them hibs fans. No issues at all with them and very complimentary after the game.

Not that the minutiae of it all really matters, but it was probably around 50:50 split. The main thing is we had 5k for a non-season ticket, terrestrial-televised match at a bit of an awkward kick off time for many families. We`re on the up > as the result proved.

Hibs fans wearing scarfs were walking through the concourse to the NMC and NW turnstiles. The Wee Security Lady with t by e wooly hat was trying to find them, she failed. 😂. Main Stand guys said a good few Hibs fans in there but all were well behaved. Good day out to be honest and certainly no trouble before or after the match on Halbeath Road. Biggest issue was the turnstile queues, 25 minutes to get in as the scanners do not read tickets easily when the phones go into dark mode and the users struggle to fathom out the issue. Some self entitled clowns also jumping the queue, what do they think we were doing, keeping them a place. 😂

I got to the ground about 14:50 as usual and took one look at the queue and immediately walked about 3/4s the way up it and joined from there. No chance was I missing kick off cos some fair weather types fancied a wee day out for a change.

4,300 was quoted by the Hibs SLO on X (twitter).
