It`s mentioned on the transfers thread but I feel it deserves a thread of it`s own as he has been here and worked his way through Fife Elite since he was a kid.
Taylor Sutherland has moved from Dunfermline to Montrose. I`m disappointed to see him leave, he looked like a good natural finisher, although chances for him here look limited now, so I hope this move works out for him. He`s got a fair amount of first team football under his belt, both here and in League Two, so this is a step up from where he has been playing and a good club with excellent coaches, hopefully he can kick on. Good article on the COWS-
"Dunfermline Athletic can confirm that striker Taylor Sutherland has left the club after signing a permanent deal with Montrose.
The twenty-year-old departs KDM Group East End Park having made 33 appearances for the Pars and scored four goals during his time with the club.
Taylor’s journey with Dunfermline Athletic began in 2021 when he arrived from the Fife Football Performance Academy, having been with Fife Elite from the age of ten. A product of Cowdenbeath and Blue Brazil before joining the FFPA, Taylor progressed impressively through the youth ranks at KDM Group East End Park.
His development was rewarded on 21st December 2022, just nine days after his seventeenth birthday, when he signed his first professional contract with the club. By that stage, the young striker had already shown tremendous attacking qualities at U18 level.
Taylor announced himself on the first team stage in spectacular fashion. Making his debut in the SPFL Trust Trophy match against Celtic B on 15th November 2022, he marked the occasion by scoring after just 2 minutes and 11 seconds.
A natural leader, Taylor captained the Dunfermline Athletic side to back-to-back SPFL Reserve Cup triumphs in April 2024 and April 2025, showcasing both his ability and his character. Along with his younger brother Jake, Taylor was an integral part of the reserve team’s success.
His development continued with successful loan spells at Bonnyrigg Rose in season 2023-24, where he scored twice in ten appearances, and at Clyde across the 2024-25 and current campaigns. Most recently, Taylor impressed with five goals in 27 appearances for the Bully Wee between August and January.
In total, Taylor departs having made 85 senior appearances across his career, with ten goals to his name.
Everyone at Dunfermline Athletic would like to thank Taylor for his efforts during his time at the club and wish him every success in his future career at Montrose."

Presumably this means a switch from full-time to part-time football which must have been a big decision to make. Good luck to the lad.

Good luck to him, and probably a good move for everyone.
He`s played mens football, by going to 3rd tier, hopefully he can get his level and kick on.
He`s still young, and can easily have most of his career as a full time footballer if he does well at Montrose - a nice club with good coaches
Sounds a big move to go part time, but many part time players effectively train like a full time player.

All the best, Taylor. A talented footballer and a smashing lad. He`s still very young, and I`m backing him to carve out a decent career. His attitude is first class, and he will thrive at Montrose.
Not your average Sunday League player.

I echo what has been said above. He`s been with us for a long time and I hope he can work his way back to full time (if he wants to).
