I believe they are in process of a takeover. Someone associated with Brentford.

Yeah, there’s been a bit of goading on P&B about this over the past few months….in the Harry Enfield “I’m considerably richer than you” way.

Apparently money people behind Brentford are in talks to buy the club, with the promise of substantial investment. Time will tell, but this news would suggest there’s something in it.

If true, Benham owns both Brentford and FC Midtjylland and has used his own data analytics, it would seem, to build them up. He was pals with Tony Bloom in the early noughties until they fell out before he set up a gambling analytics business for pro gamblers.

Along with Bord that will be 3 analytics owners invested in Scottish football, along with all being involved deeply in pro gambling of some sort.

Yep, unfortunately the other two, Benham and Bloom seem to have a pretty good system for identifying the signings, ours have yet to produce much

I’d say it’s pretty hard to compare our system to that of Brentford and Brightons, considering we are fishing in hugely different ponds.

What would be interesting though is to see it working in the top league here, like Blooms is at Hearts currently.

Bord`s system was tried, briefly, at Sheffield United.

I presume Abdulai didn`t arrive through a traditional scouting method, so did he come via Bord`s data analysis? Along with JCM I reckon he has been the most impressive signing we have made in years

Agree, also Amade before his international call ups interrupted a bit, now that he will hopefully get a clearer run of games, I think we will see him taking off

Cacares was good too before his red card, since then he`s clearly struggling, it can be very tough relocating to a foreign country, especially if you are not great at the language.

We’ve obviously gone a little off topic, but I would love for someone on ParsTV to ask Lennon on an update about where the Management Team are with Cacares.

Pars TV are employed by DAFC so they’re not going to ask questions that may be awkward for management to answer.

I thought Rovers would fall away as the season progressed. It will take time for them to turn around the predixament they are in. Uncertain times for them for the remainder of the season

The Courier`s suggesting Dougie Imrie wanted full control of football matters, including recruitment, but finance may have come into it too.

What was Potters position? Director of football?

I wonder if that general manager is a new role or if they’re replacing someone?

Potter was technical director. First team coach, Mark McKenna, has gone as well.

I thought all this was to clear the decks for now owners to take over, but reading their thread on P&B, it would appear not.

The club are apparently making an announcement next week, let’s be honest, it’s going to be 1 of 2 things, cut backs on the budget or new people coming in.

According to the Courier the latest to leave is the physio, Gregor Pirie, and he`s coming to us. He was part of our backroom staff in the past apparently.

The thing that worries me is the statements coming out remind me of the Masterton era. Essentially a bit of a "Don`t panic!" combined with "nothing to see here".

Hopefully not the case as I see them as the annoying wee brother rather than a rival (Falkirk are that pr*k cousin that you only see once or twice a year).

Their next set of accounts are due at Companies House by 28 February 2026.
The directors will already know the figures. Last accounts showed a £48k profit.
My hunch is there will be " We have made a loss and have already taken cost control measures by trimming backroom staff" style of announcement.

I always thought last season Rovers gambled on promotion. There squad had a number of senior players no doubt on good salaries and win bonuses. Probably not sustainable and they have a legacy to deal with in terms of older players near the end of their careers, injury prone, dont have the legs etc. I thought they would fall away this season, so guess they need to be thinking about next season and rebuilding.

Im glad we are taking small steps to build a more sustainable model so tgat when we push for promotion the odds are better and we have more chance of staying up.

Why would they pay for upgrades on a council facility?

They were looking to purchase the land.

Surprised the council haven`t sold it for housing if they want to offload it.

Hamilton deducted another 6 points tonight by the SFA.
That’s 30 points in total.
