 Serie A on BBC Alba

Scott McTominay, Billy Gilmour, Lewis Ferguson, Che Adams, Lennon Miller, Josh Doig and, most recently, Kieron Bowie...

More Scots are playing in Serie A than ever before - and the BBC now has you covered if you want to follow them in action live.

The Italian top flight is returning to free-to-air television thanks to a package of eight live matches showcasing the Italy based Scots as they prepare for this summer`s World Cup.

First up on BBC Alba this coming Sunday is the match between striker Adams` Torino and midfielder Ferguson`s Bologna, with a 17:00 GMT kick-off.

Bologna arrive three points and three places above their 13th-placed hosts but looking to arrest a run of five straight domestic defeats, the latest being a 2-1 home loss to Lazio in the Coppa Italia.

However, during that spell they drew 2-2 at home to Celtic and won 3-0 away to Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Europa League.

Torino, meanwhile, have won just once in five outings but are looking to build on a 2-2 draw away to Fiorentina last time out.

Thanks for that, Wee Eck. I really enjoy watching the Italian games when Scottish players are involved.

This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.

Shows how far Serie A has fallen.
English premiership selling for billions .
Italians selling to BBC Alba.
So sad.

My barber is from Milan, an Inter fan, and he told me there are no Serie A games on free-to-air TV in Italy. BBC Alba has sub-licensed these games from DAZN which is a subscription channel which seems to have the TV rights to Serie A games. Presumably Alba didn`t have to pay too much for them. Maybe DAZN are hoping some Scottish fans may be persuaded to take out a full subscription with them. The fact that there a few Scots now playing over there is obviously a hook.
