We`ve all got a team we have a soft spot for, aside from the Pars. What`s yours, and why?

Mines is Aberdeen.
My folks randomly bought me an Aberdeen shirt as my first ever strip. No idea why. It would be mid-80s, and the Dons were doing well in Europe, so I guess my folks, who knew nothing about football, thought this was a better option than either of the OF.
Still got a photo of me in a red shirt, looking bemused as to why it wasn`t black and white.
I`d love to see Aberdeen back at EEP, so I`ll be rooting for them tonight

Would be Livingston for me.
Lived there all my life, club on the doorstep and enjoyed their underdog story.
Doing some work for them now is great, but really missing my trips all over the country cheering on the Pars.
C'mon Ye Pars!

Can’t really think of a fellow Scottish team other than fond memories of Dundee Utd and Aberdeen in the 80’s and their European exploits. The whole country , it seemed was behind them at that point in history.

Over the years, I`ve lived within fairly close proximity to Carlisle United, Ayr and Killie and more recently the Edinburgh teams. However, despite my family leaving the Dunfermline area when I was only 12 years old, I could never support any other team than the Pars. Having said that, I can walk to Meadowbank Stadium in around ten minutes and I`ll go to watch City if I can`t make it to a Pars game. It`s nice and relaxing being a neutral at a football match, though I will admit to enjoying seeing my wee local team win and I hope they manage to avoid relegation to the Lowland League.

Aberdeen for me, in the early 80s growing up Peter Weir (ask yet dad/grandad kids) married the daughter of my mum`s cousin and although I went to Pars games all over with my late dad I always had an eye on the Dons score when we got home.

Stirling Albion for me, Coached within the Academy for 18 years and was involved through the highs of playing in the Championship and the lows of nearly going bust and becoming the first fan owned club in Scotland. There’s lots of good people involved at the club and I’ve got some great memories of a lot of the youngsters I worked with.
I also got to know some great people with Dunfermline connections, like Darren Young, Kevin Ruitkewicz, Martin Hardie, Steven Bell and Chris Smith when they were at the club and I’d like to see them do well, and will always have a soft spot for them.
Edit to add: West Brom outside of Scotland, simply as that’s my Dads team.

Hibs 🫣
I used to support a service user to games as he was a season ticket holder there. Also went in on my day off to allow them to go to Scottish cup final when they beat rangers.
That sunshine on leith …. Sent shivers up my spine. Like to see them do well except against us.

I have a soft spot for all the Fife teams, but they are also the teams I hate losing to the most.
Harrogate Town is the only other team I really follow the results of.
I`m a temporary Hearts enthusiast.

Fife teams for me too. Love the rivalry but I am a Fifer.
If we had folded I would have started supporting Raith Rovers.

If we’re talking about other teams in Scotland then would be hibs for me.
Although I never really went to Easter road, I am a born and raised leither and was probably only about 15 mins walk up to the ground.
Never really supported anyone in my youth and it was only when moved across to fife and started taking my kids to games (about 20 years ago now) that overtime, I stopped attending and started supporting the pars
Outside Scotland would be hull city, fc köln and probably Sligo rovers all due to family connections

In terms of scottish teams, Stenny, and my reasoning is for an absolutely beautiful football manager career in which i joined them in the lowland league after financial ruin, got them all the way upto the Premiership(took a wee while), culminating in an spl win and a europa league final, which i am still yet to play, too nervous to sim it, maybe one day i will revisit it and lift the trophy with the mighty stenny
English team is leeds due to my mums side being from leeds

Don`t have a soft spot team as such but my boss is a Hibbee & is thoroughly decent, banter-wise so I`ve started to keep an eye on their scores.
She looks out for Pars results too now, so it`s mutual appreciation haha!
English team is Everton - absolutely no soft spot teams down there lol!
COME ON YE PARS!

Scottish team - Partick Thistle, as my dad used to play for them, and many decades ago I lived across the street from Firhill and was a season ticket holder there.
English team - Barrow, as my mother was from there and I`m a member of the Bluebirds Trust (equivalent of the PST).

Alloa would be my local team and I played in the Stirling Albion youth set up for a bit so have always had a soft spot for those two. Have to say Aberdeen as well as I lived right next to Pittodrie during my time at uni and my flatmate was a big Dons fan despite hailing from Strathaven of all places and I went to a number of games with him.
My following the Pars came about because I wanted to go see "a football game" and my Dad took me to see the Pars back in 03/04 - a 2-0 win against Dundee Utd with Brewster and Mehmet scoring - and both he and I have followed the Pars since. His family were from Paisley and big St Mirren fans (we apparently have some shares in the club) but my Grandpa was quite a gifted cricketer so my Dad and Uncle weren`t as into football as many others, so St Mirren never passed down the family.
Malmö FF became my Swedish team through my pals over there and Gamba Osaka became my Japanese team having spent a lot of time there!
Always loved Borussia Dortmund as well!

I`ve done a lot of travelling over the years as I love photography. Used to go to FC Barcelona quite regularly from 2004-2018, saw all the greats, Messi, Iniesta, Xavi, Ronaldinho, etc etc.
Home and away, all over Europe.
Fell out of love when I got sick of the absolutely crazy prices for match tickets. Don`t miss it. Ticket prices nowadays there are obscene.
I go to Berlin quite a lot these days so I try to make trips around Hertha Berlin games. I`d go to Union Berlin but the chances of getting a ticket there are next to zero.
Always look out for Aston Villa results, it was my first ever game in `76 at Villa Park that this snotty nosed 10 year old kid watched his first ever game that didn`t involve Oldham Athletic.
I blame Andy Rhodes for this!

I have always had a soft spot for St Johnstone due to my Perth connections. However, I suspect that if I weren`t following the Pars, I would be following Hibs. Most Hibees I have known have turned out to be good folk, sound as a pound. And I love to hear them singing "Sunshine on Leith".
My English team is Ipswich. When I worked in London in the early `80s, I lived in East Anglia and regularly went to Portman Road. They were managed by Bobby Robson in those days and had a hell of a squad that included a couple of classy Dutchmen, a skinny Alan Brazil, Terry Butcher, and John Wark.
