I can`t see the logic in forking out £mega in compo for NL & IB, then taking pot luck on hiring another manager and assistant. What`s more, I don`t think our owner is one for pressing the panic button.
We`re not in the dire straits we were in before Lennon took over. During his tenure we`ve had improvement in some performances. We`ve only won 7? of the last 33? league points - which is dismal. But we`re still above the bottom two, with games in hand. When they evaporate and we`re in the bottom two, that`ll be the time to throw a hairy blue fit.
Calm doon, calm doon.
I believe the cup has been a distraction, it certainly hasn`t boosted our confidence or consistency as some hoped or expected.
We know our players are good enough to win games. They`ve had a lot of chopping and changing due in part to key injuries at just the wrong times.
Give them time.

Agree for now. We just seem to have a real issue up front. We`ve got some decent players in but our strikers just seem to get injured or can only play short stints.

I would say more chance of relegation if we replace the manager now. Let the guys who got us where we are, get us out of it.

We won’t take any points out of the next 3 games given what’s happening currently.
Partick will be up for it on Tuesday as it’ll put them top with a win.
QP will be up for it on Saturday as they can go above us with a win.
Ross County will be up for it as a win would move them closer too/if not above us depending on what happens with Airdrie and County games.
We also have a horrendous home record we’ve taken 3pts out of the last 12pts available at home, which includes losing our last 3 home games.
Players confidence is obviously down and Lennon seems incapable of changing that.
I’ll be shocked if we even pick up a point from the next 3.
Not to mention the 2 after that are Aberdeen in the cup and then Raith visit in the league.
Major issues happening at East End.

This was always going to be a season of transition. We`re in a bad run of form just now but there`s been signs of things clicking at various points through the season. Unfortunately a squad overhaul and introduction of promising young players will inevitably come with mistakes and inconsistency for the initial period
Sacking him now because we`re in a dip in form would be mental from a long term strategic position

Honestly I think recruitment has still been a huge problem.
We are still without a decent goalie and an experienced prolific goal scorer (except Kane with injury issues which have been well known since forever)
We have leaned too heavily into the youth model and inexperience has been all too apparent several times this season. Having a blend of youth and experience is often good. You don’t want to go too far in either direction though.
How much Lennon is to blame for the recruitment failings is difficult to say. Has he been vetoed on targets he wanted to bring in because they didn’t fit the model? Maybe. Only those at the top of the club will really know.
I just hope we stay up.

I don`t think there is a better alternative. Although we really need to get our finger out. Can`t change the squad until end of the season. We need to get something going to make sure we don`t get dragged into the wrong play off spot.
This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.

For me the players have to take a good look at themselves too
Why are players making the same basic mistakes week after week , why are we always chasing a game ? loads of questions , but it`s solutions we need so I hope NL shakes them up ! once the players cross that white line they seem to do what the like and no cohesion do their own thing , too many touches to get up the park etc , what do this lot do at training and if they practice different scenario`s why are they not following the basics , we need a leader on the park and Mullen is not a leader (maybe ok at U21`s) but this is mens football
we can greet and moan all day about everything but it`s only the players who can get the finger oot get stuck in to teams cut out mistakes and get the wins , so I live in hope as usual

Where was Carey today?
It’s like the mcpake years where we loan players in who are not able to actually contribute. I know he’s got family issues but why then sign him?

Carey has been a strange signing given everything he’s going though with his wife.
I hope she’s okay.

Berkey , I will answer your question about Carey , he is on compassionate leave at the moment due to the health of his partner
For me bringing him in was a strange one knowing his circumstances
my best wishes to him and his family at this time

Like someone has said above, I don`t see a better option. Retirement in the summer needs to be 10x better than it has been. We have had the same issues for 3 seasons now.

It’s all went t1ts up since Morrison came in.
Linfield fans gave us the heads up but he is a starter every single week without any outcome,
He doesn’t create goals nevermind score any but on the team sheet every single week.

Thanks Willie, while the circumstances are awful they were known when we brought him in. Seems another poor decision by those in charge.

Adam I posted on the thread about Morrison.
When you stand back and look at it, he’s an unproven player at this level. Can you guess what we were really crying out for? Yup someone proven at this level.
Although he may settle and come good at the moment it’s another higher earner on the books until 2028 with it all to prove he can actually cut it.
