I think NL`s comments on the league programme are justified. I think where there is a requirement for international callups there needs to be some accommodation of that. Similarly for games cancelled due to bad weather conditions. There should be some flexibility in the length of the season to accommodate this. Its not like bad weather and posponements arent predictable. I think its symptomatic on how poorly the game is run in Scotland by the SPFL No wonder crowds are dwindling

Thing is mate, across the board they’re not. Attendances rise or stay the same year after year.

Lennon has a point, re postponed fixtures. The SPFL are always in an almighty rush to shoehorn them in asap, with no consideration for the fans and for the players welfare.
How many of us can afford to shell out for 5 consecutive home games in such a short time scale? How many players are going to pick up muscle injuries due to being asked to play so often with so little recovery time between games?
Unfortunately, those in charge of our football demonstrate a chronic lack of common sense. 😔

You could argue that with population growth and stagnation in attendances its a declining business. No growth in a business sector can spell future trouble. Football as a sporting spectacle needs to attract more fans. The number of clubs in the lower leagues who have needed financial bailouts over the last 20 years should be a red flag.

Our attendances have stayed fairly similar apart from the bow infamous Masterton spending spree era. Even then the crowds didn`t rise significantly. Since that period Dunfermline has grown from under 40,000 to around 60,000 people. Obviously, most people are coming in already supporting a team but you`d still expect to catch a few youngsters who maybe support a "big team" because of their parents but still support Dunfermline as their "wee team".

the problem isnt tonight, its the Morton and County games and why was one if not both of them not played earlier when there were midweeks available?
they could have waited a couple of weeks for tonights game but it would still have been a similar run and time frame, waiting longer was definitely not an option with potentially 8 games in 24 days in April and all midweeks being used should the Airdrie game be moved for international call ups or they reach the challenge cup final and also if we beat Aberdeen.

The SPFL have a (daft?) rule that the last game to be postponed has to be the first to be rescheduled. I`m afraid the logic of that escapes me. 🤔
