 Goal celebrations

Is it my imagination or are goal celebrations taking longer and longer, unless the scoring team are chasing the game and have an incentive to get it restarted ASAP? It seems to me this is just another way of running down the clock and I`m not convinced referees add on sufficient time to compensate.
