Last night`s draw means that we have now taken points off every other team in the Championship as the late goal prevented us from being `grannied` by PT over three games.
Our record to date is -
Airdrie - 6/9, Arbroath - 3/9, Ayr - 3/9, Morton - 4/9, PT - 1/9, QP - 2/6, Raith - 6/9, Ross Co - 1/6, SJ - 4/9.
We won 9 points in Q1, 14 in Q2 and have 7 to date in Q3 with 2 games to go.

Thanks Wee Eck.
We know consistency is the key, and with better weather and pitches, time for a good run. Maybe it’s going to be about winning without playing well.

County, Raith, Queens, Morton we really need to be taking more from them with the form they`ve been on too.
`Anyone can beat anyone` feels very prevalent here though...

Two massive games coming up - much more significant than the cup game against two teams who are in good form.Really important we get at least 4 points.

I said at the half way point that we`re in a mini league with Arbroath, Ayr Utd, the Rovers. Since then you could add Morton and Queens Park.
Points off St Johnstone and Partick are great, but they don`t necessarily help us relative to the potential play off teams.
The best we can hope for against Arbroath and Ayr now is 6/12. We`ve got to come out on top against Morton, the Rovers and QP to have any chance of being in the top 4.

First 2 quarters we were conceding on average a goal a game.
This quarter we are conceding on average 2 per game, 14 conceded in 7.
The only teams we have failed to beat this season are Partick, QP and County.
Hopefully 2 wins in he next few days, now that would be a great way to finish off the third quarter.

Another way of looking at the same stats is to compare the points we have won against the points our opponents have won (a result that denies points to the other team can be almost as valuable as winning the points ourselves.)
Airdrie 6-3, Arbroath 3-6, Ayr 3-6, Morton 4-4, PT 1-6, QP 2-2, Raith 6-3, Ross Co 1-4, SJ 4-4.

Don`t parents still get report cards during term to tell them how their little darlings are performing at school and how they might improve?

We still have a fair chance of play offs, but need more consistency, to do that we need better defence and keeper, but also better scorers, notice that kane is starting more, but for how long.
For me it was always a stepping stone to next year, but we must keep the interest going to maintain fan support. For me that`s play offs, and if we could topple Aberdeen then what a successful season. At our best we could have won the keague, but it`s nearly a success but could still be a big failure. Fingers crossed.

Isn`t that because no one can be sure they will improve? I don`t understand what point you`re making. The purpose of this thread was simply to consider how the team has performed in the League to date. Fans do that all the time.
Weren`t you the one who always used to say during the season `the table doesn`t lie`? You seem to be disagreeing with yourself now.

I think there is progress from last season if you want to see it. Not huge but definitely progress. I think the highs have been higher, sadly there`s still quite a few lows!

There is definite progress from last year without doubt. For some it may be more the lack of pace in progress. Witb changes in ownership, changes in the manager and squad is always going to be small steps. Small steps are necessaty to build something sustainable not only on the park but behind the scenes. Ultimately its a journey of continuous improvement and I personally see evidence of that at the club

League tables absolutely don`t lie - interim progress reports are interesting, that`s all.
Eleven league defeats this season so far is the most eye catching stat to date.

Q2 clearly doing a lot of the heavy lifting for us this season.
Fancy a win today so at least q3 should be better than q1.
The only way we’ll be near a playoff slot is if Ayr’s and raiths form continues to be as ropey as ours.
