With James Forrest and Jason Cummings signing too? Don’t forget Wanyama is still to come back.

The Kane situation is a sore one for me. I think he is the best striker in the league but his obvious fitness issues make it a hard arguement to keep him.

I get the impression Lennon likes him but is frustrated by the game time he can give him. I think he will be released and an excellent signing for somebody else.

Personally would give him a 1 year deal and have him off the bench for 30-40 minutes. His minutes to goal ratio is outstanding. He`s hard as feck. Mistake to let him go.

On the original post Boyle will be nowhere near us next year. Much more money for him elsewhere.

A few Australian teams are interested in him, he’ll be on a decent wage.

No chance he’ll be here or in Scotland next season. He’ll be sunning it up in Oz.

I Love Kane. He was the one shining light under the previous managers and by all accounts he’s not been utilised By Neil Lennon for various rumours such as injury (not true) or that he doesn’t train as much.
I don’t know about the second one but I do know he’s been fit to play for quite some time.

Kane says he`s fit whenever asked, but come on, he`s always gonnae say that when he knows he`ll be out of contract in the summer

I absolutely love him btw, I really hope there`s a way we can keep him, if it`s on a deal that works for both parties

So Kane goes awol for 2 or 3 weeks whilst totally fit aye?
Nonsense, he`s made chocolate and has been since he signed.
Good striker but we need more than what he`s able to put iin unfortunately.

I don`t wanna go down like disco.

He`s on about £10k a week at hibs. he got a good deal when he came back from Saudi.
He won`t be offered those same terms again, that`s why he`s being kind of quiet over discussions. They also have Rachel playing for hibs women and I know both are happy in east lothian and kids are settled.

what I will say is he has a positive influence in the dressing room. Heard a lot of players comment on this and it was weird that Australia kept him in Qatar world cup squad after he done in his knee - normally players are sent home. the coach requested to keep him around due to his impact in the dressing room.

On that, I wouldn`t knock him back in a future coaching role at EEP.

FWIW, David Gray has confirmed Martin Boyle will be leaving Hibs at the end of the season.

A 3-year deal for somebody who`ll be 33 next month is a bit of a gamble.
