 Raith on Saturday.
Topic Originator: PARrot

Due to our recent form, and their slump, I am in serious danger of expecting us to hammer them.
I should know better by now

Big test, can we produce another performance, keep a run going, be more consistent? Would love to see us absolutely pump the wee team.

I think we could have hammered them last time but we went into game management mode at HT and let them back in it.

A Callum Morrison hatrick either side of another olly Thomas brace would do nicely the wee team fans I know are bricking it

No prediction from me.
I mind how great we felt the last time beating them, Hibs then St Johnstone then 3 defeats on the trot.

Think you are on point there Al.

Only a fool would underestimate a derby rival. They’ll be out to win it and we have to match them.

You’ve seen the Pars now please go home!

Need to be careful. We all know what happens when we play a team who can`t buy a win 😂

The wee team will obviously be up for it, I think some of the injured players are back too, any result can happen in this league.

I`m just not used to us being on a run and playing brilliantly!

Morrison rested and ready to go.
Abdulai rested and ready to go.
Thomas is now in amongst the goals.
Fraser back to his best.
Turley is a standout wherever he plays
Gilmour and Amade look incredible together in the middle.
Ngwenya and Mullen solid at the back recently.
Todd’s back to his best.

Would rather Ox in between the sticks but aslong as we score more than them, thats all that matters.

Turley looks a brilliant find. Would be very happy if we managed to get him permanently or on another loan in the premier league next season ;)

I feel like we’ve turned a corner and it’s clicked the last few games - Saturday will be a real test of that.

Amade finding form and the addition of Turley been making a real difference.

Really looking forward to the game. (Usually ends in tears when this is the case!)

We have a really difficult run in through to the end of the season.

We only have four home games left- Raith (rival), St Johnstone and Arbroath (leader and playoff contender) and then Morton who recently battered us.

Then of the remaining 5 away games.

Ross County is always tricky, Ayr, Partick Thistle.

Queen Park on a bit of a run. Then there’s Airdrie.

We just have to take a game at a time and start off by pumping Raith.

You mean we`ve got to play the other sides in the division - some at home and some away from home?

I`m not sure anybody will be looking at us and thinking anything other than "that`ll be a tough game".

We need to replicate the freedom and confidence we show in the cup in our league games.

Our cup run is our season in my mind and anything that comes of the league is a bonus.

"We have a really difficult run in through to the end of the season"

it will more than likely be 8 games in 24 days including the semi final, thats going to be a huge ask and puts a bit more importance on the next 2 games.

We’ll have to utilise our entire squad that’s for sure.
I’d imagine a number of Neil’s starting lineup for the cup game will be rested in the game prior to it.

Yes agree, as a club I wpuld anticipate a push for promotion next season but aim for a top four finish, but cup final would be on the cards

Cup final is top of the list for me!

Even if we go down fighting in the semi, that`s all we can ask- it`s a huge amount of full on fixtures, are there more international fixtures too? Players are going to be whacked.

Another one in a couple of weeks. Would affect Airdrie game. Wouldn’t be surprised if we played it rather than another midweek fixture.

I think it would make sense to play the Airdrie game, we are already looking for another mid week for the St Johnstone game and do not want a game in the week leading up to the semi.

We’ve had two relatively easy games recently including Aberdeen as far as much as the space both teams gave us.
We’re back to the nitty gritty now of players closing us down and we have to forget the high of last week and get back to the basics.
Seen it all too often we get caught short after a few wins and we need to be prepared this Saturday.

Agree, will be a totally different game,in my opinion.Think Raith will try and rough up our young guys,we have just not to bite.Think we have more skilful players than them,so hopefully ,that will come to the fore.

Noticed there that the NW Stand is sold out. Hopefully a good home crowd along then.

Our young guys seem to have manned up. I don`t see them getting bullied any more.
