 Aupa Athletic!

Evening .net,

Arriving ahead of schedule like a Matty Todd thunder-strike, we’re buzzing to share the latest pin badge from Ahoy Ahoy.

The Aupa Athletic badge is a 25mm hard enamel pin that goes back to the roots of our first release, combining two Athletics over 60 years after their three-legged Fairs Cup tie.

It comes in two colourways: one featuring the colours found in both clubs’ crests, and another in black and gold as a nod to our golden European era of the 1960s.

Dunfermline were Athletic Club’s first competitive Scottish opponent, and in 2023 Athletic Club sent commemorative prints to all of their historic opponents to mark the club’s 125th anniversary and preserve the memory of those games. A class gesture and a reminder that, above and beyond any differences, we’re united by our passion for football.

In that same spirit we’ve produced a limited run of 50 pins in each colourway.

Available now in the Ahoy Ahoy store below:

Thanks

Ahoy Ahoy!

Thanks twin par! We’re buzzing with how they’ve turned out.

What a response for our Aupa Athletic pins...we now have under 15 of each colourway left!

Cheers

Wow, you lot! Sold out in record time.

We absolutely love how the pins turned out and it’s clear plenty of you did too. The response has blown us away.

We’re away back to the drawing board for the next pin while also getting Issue 3 of Nae Twa Doots nailed down.

Thanks a lot to everyone who picked one up and continues to support what we’re doing, it’s hugely appreciated.

Got one of each. Superb. Thanks again!

Will you be making some stickers up n selling them on the lead up to the semi final? The Matty Todd mask ones you made before were great. Hope you could get something sorted.

References to the Atletico Bilbao really make me feel ancient !!!

Bertie Paton scored a late header at EEP against the legendary goalkeeper Jose Iribar, an iconic figure in their history with around 600 club appearances.

The previous June he had played in Spain`s 1964 European Nations Cup final 2-1 win over the USSR in the Bernebau, one of nearly 50 international games - that`s the quality of opponents the Pars played in Europe.

AASC - any objections to creating a flag inspired by the badge design? Keen to take a flag based on this to the semi final.

Already designed it - tricolour with the club crest and the bilbao red and white carve out in the corner. Looks stunning, but conscious I`m standing on the shoulders of giants here
