Anyone have any incling as to when dates will be announced? They seem to be taking their time to announce it, and I`m chomping at the bit as would be flying up from London.

Not seen anything yet, although from previous years I reckon it will be the Saturday at 12.30 as Celtic/Rangers are usually 3pm Sunday when playing.

Deliberating on what is a fitting punishment for Celtic while keeping the semi final gate and TV money high. If that was Pars fans at Ibrox we would have been blamed for everything and thrown out the contest. Double standards, bite the bullet and punish Celtic and Rangers.

It has zero to do with events elsewhere. Its TV (Premier sports) who have the rights to first pick for the TV coverage and what game they want to show. Last year was 4/5 days after the draw. Games still 5 weeks away.

At least there wont be the usual debacle of rushing to get trains home from Hampden though……..
Hopefully a crowd of 20k plus and the police have it all under control this time round!

There would have been a sizeable police presence anyway, but I guess it might well be beefed up a bit at both semi-finals because of the Rangers/Celtic nonsense. If so, the net receipts for all four clubs will be reduced.

It looks like some of the Falkirk boys have been out and about in Garvock, Touch etc with the amount of graffiti that`s popped up.
Goading much?

I overheard a group of them in McDonalds on Waverley Steps in Edinburgh. Absolutely hilarious how rattled they sounded. Also hilarious hearing their analysis of how THEY have played against Aberdeen and Hibs. Absolute rockets.

Yeah, I think they got a bulk discount on "Goodnight Green and White" stickers. A bit ironic after last week`s result

Slightly later kick off would have been good to allow for getting a bus through and if having a decent stop in a local bowling club or the like.
This is probably the choice of the police and broadcasters.

It’s the broadcasters mate.
Premier Sport had first dibs.
Put yourself in their shoes as far as audience numbers go.
Of course they will go with Celtic for the Sunday match.

Makes no difference, Gaz. Premier Sports dictate which game they want to show on each day and the times they want to show them at. It`s always been the case that "he who pays the piper picks the tune.
Not your average Sunday League player.

I’m not sure why this is surprising. Before the fixture was announced, you could have made a fairly educated guess by looking at past semi finals. More often than not, Celtic are the Sunday game, and the last few semi-finals have been early kick offs. Couple that with the Old Firm shambles last week and it was always going to be a lunchtime kick off.
This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.

Be good if a link for available buses going through to semi and hopefully final, could be advertised on this forum?
Maybe because of increased fuel costs the game could be switched to Edinburgh, but that`s too sensible for the SFA!🤔

Why does the DAFC fixture list show the Scottish Cup semi against Falkirk as the 18th March and not 18th April?
