The reported attendance on Saturday was 6,605, comprising 5,501 Pars` fans and 1,104 Rovers` fans. At first I thought this had maybe been boosted by our performance against Aberdeen but, in fact, the equivalent fixture last October had a crowd of 6,753, comprising 5,517 Pars` fans and 1,236 Rovers` fans. By comparison the derbies at Kirkcaldy were attended by 6,511 (Friday night in August, televised) and 6,773 (27 December).
These are all decent crowds for the Championship when neither side was in serious contention for the title.

today is 13 years to the day where we went to starks and promised donations to the "save the pars" campaign if certain number of visiting fans attended... of course the number crunchers at starks made sure we didnt hit those numbers in attendance.
Never forget.

Raith are in the doldrums and that was clearly reflected in the away support on Saturday.
Had they been in contention for a promotion playoff slot their attendance figure would have been much higher IMO.

The disappointing point for me was that the Pars` contingent was much the same as in October despite the recent upturn in results.

It’s all relative really.
Fans will always show up for a real meaningful match such as a playoff decider but our standard crowd is never going to be much bettter than what it is just now for a standard league match.
Remember the Calderwood years when we were top 6 in the SPL and crowds were no better.

It is an expensive time for Pars fans at the moment, with cup games and a semi final coming up.
Didn`t thing Rovers had that many I was thinking about 800, but obviously I`m wrong as it must be the official figures in the op, which reduced to zero rather quickly near the end.

Dunfermline top both the home and away average attendance tables this season for the Championship.
Interestingly, Queens Park and Airdrie routinely have less home fans in attendance than away fans, QP in particular are often outnumbered 4 or 5 to 1

I’ll never forget the “save the Pars” derby match
Vowed I never return to Starks park unless it was a cup match where the Pars get a share of the gate
It was definitely a case of the wee team milking the Pars for as much as possible
I’ve never returned and never will
