I was talking to a Romanian friend last week and he was telling me that Danny Armstrong is making a very good impression at Dinamo Bucharest. Supporters really like him in Romania. I checked his playing past and noticed he played for the Pars on loan from Wolves. I must be getting old as I don’t remember it at all. Anyone remember his spell here

According to Wikipedia he was on loan to us in season 2017-2018, made 6 appearances and nil goals. I remember the name but that’s about it.

Remember when he was at Kilmarnock and he was linked with Celtic and someone asking me the same question….and I can’t. I obviously remember him being at The Wee Team, but not with us.

Didn`t do anything at us really. Played centre midfield in his first game and got hooked before half time away to Livi if I remember correctly.

He, like most of our loan signings in that era, was a dud. Fair play to the guy for making a good career for himself.

I remember Off The Ball doing something about toys, Team of the Week probably. I thought "I`m sure we`ve got a `Stretch Armstrong`", but I couldn`t for the life of me think of a single thing about him.

Pretty harsh to call him a dud, don`t think he got many starts, he was pretty young at the time and would have been his first professional appearances at the Pars. He scored a hattrick (2 penalties and a long range strike) quite early in the season in a Bucharest derby which certainly made him popular, hasn`t been so prolific since but has been a regular for Dinamo who are having their best season in a long time.
