What a change in our performances and results since he came back into the dugout, took a chance on negative impact on his reputation , but seems really invested in our project.
As most Scoottish football fans had a negative impression of him, but completely won us over, great manager, in both tactics and leading this young team.

I always liked him. He got a negative opinion because he was an Irish Catholic playing for Celtic and there are plenty of sectarian racist types in Scotland- perfectly decent guy.

I could listen to Lennon talk football all day. A great communicator and top manager. We are privileged to have him right now.

Always liked him, even as a pundit was probably one of the best

Hes a real football man, have to admit I don`t know anyone really who thinks of him negatively.

I think he`s made for a club like ours. I was amazed we got him.

The negativity might come from the Scottish media, but the Herald sells 9k copies daily, The Scotsman 5k, the Record 33k- so frankly who cares.

I thonk like everything we learn, grow older and mellow. When you are young things can happen and be said in the moment. It cant be easy to be thrust into managing a top premiership team with all of that expectation on your shoulders. Its a different management style and hopefully this suits him better. Whilst success can be measured in shinyvtrophies there are also other measures of success that are less tangible such as managing and improving younger players and being their conduit to success. You cannot doubt his enthusiasm for the game and his professionalism and desire to produce a successful side that will not only enhance the reputation of the club, but improve and guide young players along the way. Its a journey that has a whole train load of suporters on it willing it on. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully the only light at the end of the tunnel that Falkirk see in a few weeks is the Pars freight train.

It’s glaringly obvious as to why anyone wouldn’t like him. They also don’t have the intelligence to separate who the people are on the pitch to who they are off it. These types of people have been holding the rest of us back for some time now.

Don’t want anyone else as manager. I don’t think he gets enough credit. As someone said, he’s a proper football man. He’s been through a lot and I think it shows.

Apart from him being Irish-catholic he did win 40 caps in 8 years for northern Ireland and he always spoke proudly of it. He took the decision to step away from international football due to threats to his life by paramilitary groups-apparently the LVF but I don’t know for certain.

Worth remembering the Good Friday agreement was signed in 1998 so the landscape was different early 00’s.

20 years later and it feels crazy that’s what happened on about 20 years ago.

Crazy to think that 1972 had 1,300ish bombings in Northern Ireland.

70’s basically had around 900 every year. Similar levels to the Iraq and Afghanistan but a much smaller physical area.

Anyway, that’s away from my point. If he stays long enough, he could well go down as a legendary manager for us. If he gets silverware, he’ll definitely become a club legend.

I wasn’t exactly his number 1 fan as a player but I always liked him. He was a great signing for Celtic as a player and he had some great results as their manager. He maybe had a couple of “flashpoints” as a player and manager and he still likes the “banter” with fans and others now and again that maybe has gone too far in the past with the likes of Duffy. But, I’m hoping he’s keen to stay with us and keep on developing our players. Yesterday was my first at EEP for a while but I can see that Lennon has challenges creating consistency through games. I’m sure he gets as frustrated as we do as fans - we’ve got undoubted talent in the players but it’s all about getting it out of them consistently……I wouldn’t want to swap Lennon for anyone else out there.

He’s really been our star signing.

Never my favourite player, but that’s because he was one of those players you love to hate - but would also love to have in your own team.

Huge progress from when he took over to today, backed by a Board on and off the pitch.

We’re now in great shape for the rest of the season!

He’s certainly improved us backed by funds from the board. Last seasons he struggled to get more out of those players, score any goal and the less said about the likes of wanyama the better but this season we look set to peak at just the right time.

You do wonder how other managers would have fared with this board but the important thing is Lenny sets the standard and he’s brought in players who set the standard on the pitch.

It’s been a first full season at this level for a number of this team and he’s held the team together well as some have looked jaded etc. excited to see next season when it will be fully lennons team

The post below replying to me is by one of .nets finest champions of mediocrity!
