I`d love to see a highland derby of ICT vs Ross County in the playoffs.
ICT are second in league one and Ross County bottom but only two points off 11th in the championship, so it`s quite conceivable.

Result is a good example of the trap we fell into thinking being the top team in league 1 means we’ll be well placed for the championship. ICT have quite a few ex pars who typify that too.

Maybe we shouldn`t read too much into one result. On their way to the final ICT beat Ayr 2-1 and PT (on penalties), both away from home.

Anyway, I`ve just consoled myself by having another look at Saturday`s highlights. Tod and Todd were heavily involved in a lot of the good stuff on show,

Is that Rovers now most Challenge Cup wins, or joint equal with Falkirk ?
It is a bit of an "also rans" competition, however for small clubs with few previous successes at a higher level it is something to savour
Alloa won it 1999-2000 beating ICT aet and penalties - their first ever national trophy.
Referee Jim McCluskey said it was the best game he`d experienced as an official as both sides were committed to attacking football.

Congratulations to RR. Its good to see any Fife team winning something. It may not be the Scottish cup but it still is however silverware.its the 4th time they have won it, and will no doubt mean something to platers at the end of their careers, who may never have won anything.

It really sounds like sour grapes when folk belittle a notable achievement for our rivals.
How long have we been contesting this Cup, but never won it.
I want to win it all the more now.
Problem is it might need to be our B team.
Rovers players seemed to be more than delighted to win a decent piece of silverware. Decent for our level. It isnt an easy cup to win with so many teams of equal ability.

If you were to give the option of swapping seasons tho no one in their right mind would swap even if we lost every game from here on out. Maybe if they rested their bigger players in the cup maybe they would be closer to challenging for promotion so yeah if you win it there’s celebration but when you look back is it really worth the hassle of throwing away a promotion push or a Scottish cup run. Especially with how unlucky we’ve been with injuries this last few seasons the last thing we needed was more games that’s my point of view at least maybe people don’t see it that way

I think I would rather have our season than theirs. Ill support the Pars in any derby game and would always want to see Dunfermline be more successful. Fife football does however need a RR. It brings in good crowds during derbies for much needed revenue. Im good with healthy rivalry but wouldnt want to see RR go down.
