from the Courier:
“There’s a few I’d like to keep,” he said. “We’re talking to representatives of a few players in the background now.
“A lot of them are already on sort of longer-term contracts.
“And there’s a few that we’ve already approached about renewing their contracts.
“But we don’t want to muddy the water a little bit, in terms of taking their attention or focus away from what’s in front of us on Saturday.
“These can all be issues that can evolve pretty easily, pretty quickly, over the next few weeks.
“But we have approached a number of players about their contracts, yes.”

Maybe the owners should start contract talks with NL re an extension. I see they`re coming over for the game tomorrow.

Think this would have to be a priority as well, whether Lennon would want it is another question - mentioned he doesn’t want to stay in the Championship too long.

If we don’t go up this season via the playoffs, I think we’ll be up there challenging for the title next season.
With some new additions to the squad we will be a real contender.

Pretty sure we will strengthen, we have got a hell of a good backbone of a squad
Just occurred to me, there`s not really any `dead wood` there`s players that have their time with us, and I guess a couple needs to drop a level to get on with their career, also they might not offer to a few because we have better lines up.
