I didn`t realise that this once relatively successful club was knee deep in the dog dirt. They haven`t played since 2025 and look to be DOOOOMED.
From Talk Sport:
Ex-Portuguese champions Boavista are at risk of extinction amid ongoing financial difficulties.
The Porto-based side shocked everyone when they beat Porto to the the Primeira Liga title in 2001, but they have fallen on hard times.
The Porto club are playing outside of the Portuguese top-flight for the first time since 2014

The Porto club are playing outside of the Portuguese top-flight for the first time since 2014.
Last season, Boavista were administratively relegated to the fifth tier of Portuguese football after finishing bottom of the top-flight.
As a result, they now find themselves competing in a local district league.
But things could soon get even worse, with Portugal`s fourth most successful team now in danger of folding completely.
Boavista have failed to register enough players for two games in a row, with the Porto FA cancelling their last scheduled match against Ventura SC on Wednesday.

Didn`t realise it was as bad as that
A real historical club, one of the most unique strips in football.
Crowds in Portugal outside the big 3(4ish...) can be pitiful, Boavista never recovered from stupidly building the stadium they didn`t need.
