Big game tonight and it all kicks off in two and a half hours. Let’s get to third place Pars.
I’ll post the team line up as soon as I get it but feel free to do the same folks.

Although NL said he would `rotate` tonight he also said the team would not be as inexperienced as the one he fielded at Airdrie. Young Davidson has been recalled from his `co-operation` loan though.

Do we want to show all our cards for this game, or keep our powder dry for the playoffs?
Mixed metaphors aside, for me this game is essentially meaningless, unless we go for it and lose - and I don’t want them getting a ‘feel’ for how we play before the playoffs

The prize money from winning the play offs is going to be a lot more than finishing 3rd or 4th.

Would you rather we win 5-0 tonight then because the players are too tired we lose in the play offs. The game tonight means nothing. We`re better at Gayfield than at home anyway vs them this season.

The fans seemed very patient and encouraging towards the young ones especially and outside of being powderpuff up top and Deniz at his zany best , 😊 we played some no bad football at times.
Josh Cooper a standout for me with Chris Hamilton starting the match amazingly well too.

It was a game that lacked quality from both teams. MacLeod struggled at the back and looked completely lost when stepping into midfield. I agree with a previous comment, I don’t think any player really staked their claim for more game time.
I thought Davidson was probably the best of an otherwise average group. Mehmet was poor last night, which showed why Lennon can’t trust him. He’ll likely struggle to get an offer at the same level and will probably end up at the lower end of League One after we let him go.
Overall, no harm done in terms of injuries, but there was a real lack of quality in the play. Considering we had six senior first team players, we should have offered more in the final third.

I guarantee none of them would be able to identify what the IRA actually stands for. I’m all for them creating an atmosphere, but why sing about other clubs we aren’t even playing against? Getting involved in sectarian nonsense they know nothing about isn`t and shouldn’t be accepted. Hopefully, an older head can guide them onto the right path and keep them clear of sectarian chanting. There will be enough of it on the day of the final without us adding to it for no reason.

Classic wee team mentality.
I can excuse it a bit though, and see why they (and fans of any smaller team) might feel a bit of resentment towards County. They are a smaller order club who`ve been elevated for a long period thanks to uncle Roy.
Not much to say about the game last night. It was a strange game, with players who don`t usually play also varying positions a lot - so all a bit disjointed. We were pretty toothless up front and expectedly lost out a lot physically.
John Tod was excellent and Bene was also very good. He`ll still do a good job for any team that doesn`t play too high a line.

Bigger picture the two games coming up next week. Clearly it was about bringing players up to mstch fitness who haven had much opportunity to play first team football. It is obviously about putting in consistent performances over the next two games. Not much to take from last night to be honest other than it is a hame where you could introduce younger players to first team football over 90 minutes. Given how tight this league is those opportunities are rare.

John Tod (in the 2nd half anyway) was our best player. Bray battled away up top but was feeding off scraps.
I thought Kearney played better when he went to the right. Looks like he’s lacking a bit of confidence right now though.
Hamilton and Bene battled away. Like another poster said, I think Bene will do a job somewhere, will probably drop down a division again.
I thought Davidson had a mixed game, got caught flat and gave it away a few times, but mostly recovered. Think he will benefit from a full season out on loan at either Kelty or East Fife, definitely potential there.
You could see Arbroath wanted to hold out for the draw more than we wanted the win as they were subbing on their first team players and we were bringing on academy graduates.
Will be a different game on Tuesday.
And finally, Mehmet will be a name us fans will remember - both our record clean sheet holder and one of the most error prone keepers we’ve had in my time going. Saved a few penalties over the years too!

John Tod (in the 2nd half anyway) was our best player. Bray battled away up top but was feeding off scraps.
I thought Kearney played better when he went to the right. Looks like he’s lacking a bit of confidence right now though.

I`d keep any of our players as far away from any management team that had Michael Tidser in it as we can.
This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.

He’s already played 6 times for Kelty this season.

Extra time, penalties and missing the last train home.
