With so much going on at the club, I thought I would provide a short update to supporters.
Cup Final tickets have now been on sale since Wednesday and we are approaching an incredible 9,500 tickets sold. The backing from supporters has been absolutely phenomenal and we cannot thank you enough for getting behind the team in such huge numbers. Monday will see the restricted general sale commence with plenty of tickets still remaining for supporters keen to back the squad at Hampden later this month.
As a reminder, supporters with a ticket purchasing history over recent years will gain access during the next sales window. If you believe you should qualify but do not receive access, please email shop@dafc.co.uk and staff will be able to cross-reference a number of databases, including club shop records and recognised supporters’ groups, to help ensure tickets go to Pars supporters.
A huge thank you must also go to the staff at the club, particularly those in the club shop, who have been working tirelessly throughout this process, ably supported by a few fantastic volunteers. We are currently dealing with more enquiries than ever before, largely around the restricted general sale process, and we would ask supporters for continued patience and understanding. It is important to remember that the staff and volunteers are supporters too and are doing everything possible to help fellow Parswith all their enquiries around the match.
Our Cup Final merchandise is also due to start arriving next week. Our limited run of home shirts from Erreà is due to arrive next week along with special edition T-shirts and polo’s. Hats, scarves and flags are all on their way as well.
We also expect to finalise our supporter bus offerings next week, with season card holders once again receiving a priority window to secure seats first.
A Cup final is about more than just the club. It’s about the City and communities we serve as well. Therefore, we are delighted to launch our Cup Final campaign: ‘Be PARt of It’.
The campaign contains a number of community engagement initiatives designed to bring the city together in backing the club as we head to Hampden. Schools across the area have received activity packs allowing pupils to create good luck messages for the squad, local businesses are being encouraged to decorate their windows in black and white, and supporters are invited to submit photos of loved ones no longer with us. These images will be displayed in the dressing room on Cup Final day – a hugely emotional tribute recognising the strength and togetherness of this Pars family.
We regrettably have to address a small amount of inappropriate songs and chanting heard recently at KDM Group East End Park.We are not willing to accept this at DAFC and I appreciate the actions of other supporters who shut this down immediately. To be clear though, we will prosecute and issue stadium bans to any fans caught
