When we lift the cup is there any plans for a open top bus parade . I know we didn`t have anything organised for any of the other cup finals.

Would the bus get past the pedestal at the top of Guildhall St?
Or would it come from Chalmers St. end?
What was annoying in 68 was that the "stay at home" crowds had taken up the best positions before the returning supporter`s buses!

I just seen on Google news that hearts have there map out already for the bus route if they win the league and just wondered if we had anything planned

Need to do it the weekend after when it’s a double celebration with promotion 😁

Doubt we will have anything planned.
For an example though, Aberdeen won it last year on the Saturday and the open top bus parade was the Sunday at midday.

The team will come back to East End after, so would imagine there will be celebrations there.

I was under the toon clock in 68.Absolutely magical, never forgot it.You have to experience it,to understand the euphoria you get, from such an occasion.

Surely they could get an open-top out of the Vintage Bus Museum for the occasion?

would imagine anything would be done on Sunday 31st if we are also in the playoff final. Cant see a massive party/parade on the sunday after the final with a promotion playoff game on the tuesday night.

Must have been standing near you Twin Par, never forget that night after the disappointment at Hampden when Roy Barry was and the team were not allowed to parade the Cup.

Probably not road taxed, insured or MOT valid ?
Some places have open top sightseeing buses - one in Stirling AFAIK.

If it`s old enough would it not be exempt from needing road tax and MOT? They run the buses around the town on various event days so I`d assume it`s fine.

Buses kicking about the town all the time when events are on. Sure the clubs got it all sorted for the eventuality 😬
