I assume we’re all wanting Hibs to hammer Motherwell today as that’s the only way we’re getting The Ox back I’d say.
If Motherwell finish 4th there’s no way there gonna let Ox play in the Final and potentially kick Motherwell out of Europe next season. They’ll find a loophole to somehow terminate the loan.

Other way around they are guaranteed European football in 4th it’s only if they finish 5th and we win the Scottish cup they get knocked out

He’s on an emergency loan from us back to them….they cant recall him/terminate the loan after today’s game, he will be back for the cup final, unless of course he gets injured.
But imagine Motherwell turned round to him tomorrow and said “we finished 5th so you aren’t going back to play the cup final incase you win it and punt us out of Europe” - the uproar from not only ourselves, but the player, his agent/lawyer, the PFA, pundits, commentators etc would be bigger than the last week in Scottish football!

Just to clarify things, they can’t stop Ox playing in the final.
He’s back today as an emergency due to injury but it’s their last game of the season.
He’s good to go next week barring an injury to himself.

Sporting integrity would be out the window if they could stop Ox from playing in the final. If they finish fifth, I’m sure they’d be wishing they could though.

Hypothetically, he could pick up a knock/niggle in training or during the match today that would cause the Motherwell physio to rule him out of action for 7-10 days....

If Motherwell were to stop the Ox playing in arguably the biggest game of his career next week, you’d have one very unhappy player and I reckon it would result in a transfer request. I know if that was me I’d be telling them to stick it.
