 The Playoffs.

I obviously wanted to win and go on to gain promotion, but isn`t it kinda sick that we could have done that after failing to beat Partick in the four league games, and finishing a whopping 15pts behind them.
I would take it out of selfish desire, but it doesn`t seem fair to me.
Partick earned their right to play for a Premiership place before the playoffs began.

Playoffs are a nonsense, two up two down, or change the league format to larger sizes with four up and down and build a process into the structure to allow the top division to play each other four times to accommodate the gruesome twosome.

Two up two down with a restructure to add two teams to each division to me would be logical. The 3rd and 4th place playoff games are a bit of a nonsense

Your never going to get Premier league teams to vote for that.

This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.

I see that Thistle have dropped the ticket price to £18 for the St Mirren game with a familiar-looking explanation:
“ Ticket prices have been reduced for this game to the minimum amount possible under SPFL rules as a thank you to the Thistle faithful for the committed support that has been shown throughout this season and to ensure as many Jags as possible are in the stadium for a game of such enormous importance.”

The playoffs need to be reviewed - at the very least it should be consistent across all the divisions.

The second bottom SPL side should not only be in a 2 game decider where the second top in the Championship has had to meet the winner of third and fourth place.

To be fair we’ll have made good money from the home games against arbroath and Partick that we wouldn’t otherwise have made and it made the season more interesting for at least 3 other teams as otherwise Partick and st Johnstone would have the top slots sewn up very early.

They also worked, Partick were the 2nd best team in the league by far and that showed.

The minimum amount?!? Does that mean that their operational costs are much higher, are they lying to their fans, or something else?

I`m not sure we`ll have made that much after reducing prices and the SPFL getting their cut. Actually, considering the SPFL`s financial interest in the play-offs, I was surprised we were allowed to cut our prices so much.

The minimum amount is different for the final than the quarters and semis.

As long as you charge the minimum you don`t need to ask the spfl for permission.

You can ask them if you want to charge less than the amount stated in the rules but chances are they will tell you to **** off unless you had a very good reason
