What’s the best way to get from town centre (down at the bottom bit near the Clyde) to Hampden, say leaving about 13:30?
Is it to just jump on subway or better just walking?

Trains from Central rail station might be worth considering.

Be about 45-60 mins to walk it. Get an uber trains will be heaving.

Central to Mount Florida is obvious train choice, but they will be busy.
Uber in Glasgow, from my experience, works pretty well. Will easily get you within walking distance to ground.

Train probably your best bet, celtic fans are planning a procession walk from Glasgow green to the ground leaving at 13:00 so trying to get from merchant city across at Crown street/Laurieston Road/Cathcart Road/Aikenhead road between 13:00 and 14:00 will be a nightmare.

The trains run regularly and queues go down quickly. Cheapest option. Uber prices will probably spike around 2pm.

Walked it in ‘04 there and back from Queen Street station. Obviously with a few refreshment stops.
When I read about the dangers of alcohol, I gave up reading.

Looks like the weather is going to be half decent Saturday.
Kings Park is also quite convenient for Hampden - although a slightly longer walk.

yeah mount florida tends to be heavily congested post match. a 10-15min walk to Queens Park/Crossmyloof/Shawlands can be quicker than waiting in the queue and on a separate line so trains quieter than those coming from Mt Florida.
