Second Half today we really didn`t look out of place against Celtic. And these young guys have made great strides this season and look as if they could really gel as a team!
Well done to Neil Lennon for turning the club around and to the squad for their efforts this year. Personally, I reckon another season in the Championship will help us gel as a team and we`ll go up stronger and more ready than we would have this year.
Well done lads! COYP!

3-4 good signings and we should move up to competing for the league. Although we’ll lose Ngwenya and mullan.
At least we should have some cash to bring better players in and give us some squad depth for next season.

Proud to be a Par. Interesting to see who is leaving. Looked like Matty Tod was waving goodbye to the fans after the final whistle.

Irrespective of the result, it was good experience for the younger players that will benefit them next season. Sure some are leaving but new players will come in and offer a different perspective.

I think he’ll stay on another year, then get the Celtic job again after O’Neil’s swansong
Only worry is if O’Neil wants him back now to do a gradual handover

I can’t see him going back to Celtic, and i can’t imagine he’d really want to go back into that west coast sectarian nonsense - remember all the anti Catholic/Irish abuse, bullets in the post etc - why would anyone want to go back into that again?

Lennon is here to do a job that`s not finished yet.
If we get promotion next season then Lenny will stay
at a job he is loving.

One thing I’m looking forward to next season is the potential of more players like Amade or Abdulai coming in, guys we know nothing about but have been identified by the analytics.
It’s important that we get in players with experience of the game up here too though, as they make take time to settle in.
It’s unfortunate that we’ll likely be losing three first team regulars, and keep the continuity within what has been a successful season (albeit with eventual disappointment).
Could be as many as five new faces in the starting 11 for the first game next season. I think Kearney will probably take up Todd’s position at RWB though, and I imagine we’ll try and sign Ox.

I think I would put money on us getting Ox. They can`t demand silly money for a third choice keeper. He likes it where he is appreciated, we have the means and we know we need him.

He might not be the new manager`s third choice though.

Nothing in his post match interview suggested he would be going anywhere. I`m 100% sure Neil is completely invested in this project, and wants to take us up as champions next season.

Athletico - hopefully that is indeed the case, and that the club will enable him to succeed through proper player recruitment and retention. If they don`t get that right, I could see him moving on before the end of next season.

I think the fact Lennon never came across to the fans at the end maybe raised a few doubts about his future.
Personally I think he was overwhelmed with his mentor winning and was caught up in the moment with him.
I think he will be here next season as he appears to be committed to the challenge.

I feel that the club circumstances suit NL`s sense of challenge. The proof is in the pudding in terms of the improvement this season. It speaks for itself. He strikes me as a man of integrity who does what he says. The supporters love him, the club and owners support him, and I would hope that counts for alot. As he has said, its a different challenge. Straight talkers are not everyones cup of tea, but what you get is honesty, transparency and you know exactly where you stand. Thats a good manager and leader in my view. No rhetoric or blowing smoke, call out out when it needs to be, praise when its deserved.
I think every Pars fan will be behind him.

He came over to the fans nearest the tunnel as we saw him in front of us. Fairly sure he was leaving the players to go to the fans themselves and give them the chance to acknowledge them. He was also whisked away to do media duties as was Martin O’Neill.
In his post match interviews he’s spoken of the targets for next season so I can’t see him leaving us. Hope he doesn’t.

I watched him (NL) at full time, he sent the players over but seemed to still be quitting how the game went and was discussing it with the coaching team.
I don’t think he was happy losing that at all, however allowed himself to be happy for his old manager, mentor and probably friend

I can understand NL`s disappointment because it was a real opportunity to beat Celtic but we just didn`t turn up first half. A big lesson is to know in your own mind that if you play well you are capable of winning. You have to ignore comments such as underdogs, as these are emotive words not necessarily grounded in reality. We lost a poor first goal, didnt close down for the second and defendedpoorly for the third. In these type of challenges, you have to believe in yourself if you expect others to. I`m sure NL believed it was possible. I think the occasion got to a few players, but its important at this stage to learn from it and stand up better next time. Its an old saying but there is no substitute for experience.

I doubt if we`ll be trying another `Wanyama` or `Caceres`, or relying on youth so much. I`m keen to see some experience early on - of the calibre of Charlie, Zak and Bene (I know NL didn`t sign him, but he`s the kind of guy we need - ready to come straight in.) As others have said - it`ll be a bonus if we have most of our players signed up for a full pre-season.
