Am I the only one that thinks what’s the point in a player that can’t play 90mins . For me it’s a waste of the wage . Having already pinned are hopes on him
For next season a fear what’s to come .

Who says he can’t play 90mins? Played full game in the playoffs the other week.

He should have started.
We are a completely different team with him in it.
Clever, he`s a leader.and gives his all.

I’ve no issues with Kane. He gave everything when he came on. In hindsight it might have been better to start the game with Kane on the pitch.

Far better team with him up front. He has played plenty in recent weeks. Need to strengthen up front though, and hopefully have better luck with injuries next season.

Everybody is a genius in hindsight. Lennon got it wrong, he made changes, we got better and put in a fantastic display against the best team in the country with resources that dwarf ours.
Kane was great when he came on - as was rudden. Kearney was also quietly effective when he came on.

Tend to agree, was surprised he didnt start ,but the management and team had a plan ,but didnt go to plan .Maybe there was discussions with management and players and agreed that was the best plan .who knows

Fairly obvious the plan was to weather the storm until the second half and go for a killer blow with the subs. Didn`t work but you live and learn. I thought we did pretty well against the (supposed) best team in Scotland.

I think if you`re not pairing up front, you need your strongest back three.
I think gambling Kane for a second half and extra-time and potentially pens made sense.
A really enjoyable season, some ups and downs, but I really appreciate the effort of the team and staff.
Onwards and upwards, hopefully with the nucleus of the same team.

I felt he got it wrong too. What seemed like a plan to contain them just didn`t work but it was good to see them have a right go in the second half.

I think NL was hoping to frustrate and Contain Celtic in the first half with his selection. To be fair prior to the match my thoughts were if we can see out the first half without conceding we will be in with a great chance. Celtic were playing fast nippy balls around the place making space and leaving us looking slow and penned in.
To go 2-0 down for half time and the players looked flat and fans were quieter towards HT whistle.
The way we came out for the second half after the changes making better use of the wings - really felt like we could get right back into the game. We took it to them. Kane is just what we need. Stability, reliability and consistency what he brings to the team is confidence to fight hard and confidence to get stuck in. Celtic got a bit lost and returned briefly to the team earlier this season where they were not controlling the game.
Kane for me is a stand out player and he can last 90 minutes BUT he gives so much to the team and can come on and completely change dynamics of the team. For me this is an advantage rather than disadvantage.

Even if this was the case which it isn`t, yes in the days of 5 substitutes especially a 60 minutes player/impact sub of Kane`s ability is worth it.
Wish we had two of him.

I’m not hurting - I’m proud as f**k to be a par tonight. We went against a £40m team. Outclassed them in big portions of the second half.
I had a good day out at Hampden, hoped to see more folk that I knew but saw Kenny and Burty was a couple of seats along from me. Was proud to see some COPA tops and tracky that we done during admin. Also loads of variety of shirts we have had through the years.
Fans were well behaved even some Celtic fans chatting away when we went back to get the car.
Some of this team are. Going to go on to great things. Hopefully we will be up in premiership after next season. Time to not rebuild but build on the foundations already laid down. We will soon be back where we deserve to be !!
