That`s just three weeks away. When does pre-season training start? NL puts so much value on if that you`d expect new signings to be arriving very soon.

Couple of Oldham fans on X have posted that they think they have a friendly lined up against us.

Given our first competitive game is 11th July, I`d expect us to be back about 22nd June. That gives us a week`s training ahead of Clyde.

I`ll let you know for certain when I hear it.
Oldham`s manager, Micky Mellon has had pre-season training at St Andrews for the last 3 years, so hopefully this year it`s a visit to EEP.
I blame Andy Rhodes for this!

FWIW Kelty have published a list of dates on their socials, players return, fixtures published, kit launch etc. Very simple but keeps their support engaged. They are back training on the 11th.

I wouldn`t be surprised if our friendlies are away from home, if we do play a visiting team it will possibly be somewhere like Kelty.

not seen anything to say level of works pitch is getting this summer as that certainly was justification for away friendlies/requesting early cup games be away to maximise time for the works.

Actually thought our pitch was showing signs of recovery at the last home game of the season, also saw a photo a couple weeks ago of grow lights on the pitch.

Saw the pitch last week and thought it looked really good.
There seemed to be an issue last season, I`m assuming with the root depth or new rootzone, where there were inches of turf being `pushed` up and leaving mounds. More than you would see on a normal grass pitch. Hopefully the growth over the summer sorts that.

Oldham are in Scotland 12-19 July but no public friendly games happening.
That`s in the middle of Pars Premier Cup group stage, so be surprised if there`s anything going on there.
Hey ho.
Just out of interest for future planning, any ideas when the Championship season starts?
I blame Andy Rhodes for this!

There`s five dates for the group games and each team plays four games so skips one game day. Ours this year is at a weekend, I think the middle one but maybe first, so that could open up an opportunity especially as we don`t have any Saturday home games.
