Sim, 74, who played a key role in the 2005 Rovers takeover and became owner of Stark’s Park via Stark’s Park Properties, previously stepped down from day-to-day operations at Rovers after selling a stake to a new consortium in 2023, but he retained a ‘hands on’ role prior to returning as interim chairman this spring.
And now the supremo has revealed that a handful of groups have recently indicated their desire to buy the club.

"At Dunfermline, an American investor is coming in and is quite happy to lose £1.5 million, £2 million a year.
"What they are doing is looking at it as an alternative asset and they think that the value can go up.

Its getting under their skin that when they tried it, they were bringing in ancient players on huge wages and little crowds and flopped last year. We do it and bring in youth and get to a cup final, which effectively covers our losses from the previous years accounts. Its delightful!

I`ve never seen Sim in person but he exudes small man syndrome energy.
Their digs on social media don`t make them look like a big, professional and confident club. Instead they make them come across as even smaller than they are.

A bit of fun AI`s prediction for RR next season....
Based on the squad as of 6 June 2026, I’d predict Raith Rovers to finish 3rd–5th in the 2026/27 Scottish Championship, with my best call being:
Prediction: 4th place — promotion play-off spot
Raith look stronger than a mid-table side, but not yet obviously complete enough to make them clear title favourites.
Why I think play-offs are realistic

They will be nowhere near Pars next year.

My current order is therefore:
1. Livingston
2. Partick Thistle
3. Dunfermline Athletic
4. Inverness Caledonian Thistle
The biggest caveat is that the window is still early. One proven striker signing at Raith, Dunfermline, Partick or Arbroath could change the top four quickly.
