The SPFL have issued their retribution for recent incidents - in there Celtics punishment for their pitch invasions at the end of the season……
A suspended partial closure of Parkhead closure of 1,000 seats for ONE GAME! Runs till 2028 for any one incident.
A £7,500 fine.
Honestly, whats that going to do to them? Absolutely f**k all……our national bodies are a disgrace.

Absolutely typical, all the time no one stands up to them it will continue. It happened in OF match and again against hearts.
It should be a much stronger punishment, who sit on the board that makes these decisions.
First OF riots
Then dubious penalty against motherwell that kept them in the chase.
The pitch invasion and assault, mot assault and battery, although there was battery against an official. But poorly reported.
The reference stops game early with agreement of hearts
The riots in trongate.
And they get their sweetie jar shut for a small period.
Go and have a look at other nations to see how they deal with it.
Let`s name and shame sfa committee that decided this

I was reading recently about how teams like the Pars have been treated around fielding non-eligible players and administration compared to the likes of Rangers. The SPFL just seem to make it up as they go along. I can guarantee if the Pars were liquidated there wouldn`t be a kind offer to let us enter into the second division!

Don’t forget they actually tried to let new Rangers into the Premier League without making their way through the leagues.
It was only fan pressure on club chairmen that prevented it.

They didn’t do it for Airdrie, and wouldn’t let them use the name Airdrieonians when they bought over and relocated Clydebank who bought over and relocated East Stirlingshire.
It wasn’t until Rangers went bust and Newco were allowed to return as Rangers that Airdrie Utd, formerly Clydebank, formerly East Stirlingshire were permitted to change their name to Airdrieonians.
To add to the making it up as they go along, the precedent had been set that relegation should have been suspended which would have meant we stayed in the Premier League but instead Dundee who finished 2nd in the Championship were promoted.

Not entirely correct for the East Stirlingshire / Clydebank / Airdrie United / Airdrieonians saga. Clydebank were never East Stirlingshire, and the important decisions were taken by the SFL and SFA, not the SPFL.
The Steedman brothers, the majority holders in East Stirlingshire, reckoned the potential in Falkirk was very limited and took over Clydebank JUNIOR FC in 1964. There was no senior club in Clydebank at the time, the previous Clydebank FC having folded in the 1930s. They merged the two clubs into one, moved it to New Kilbowie Park and renamed it ES Clydebank.
Following supporter and minority shareholder opposition and several court cases, the two clubs were de-merged after one season, with the Shire returning to Falkirk and the new (and now senior) Clydebank FC entering the league in its own right, still owned by the Steedmans.
When the Steedmans sold New Kilbowie in the late 1990s, Clydebank FC had no home ground, became nomads and were in financial difficulty, as were the original Airdrieonians FC, who were liquidated in 2002.
The Airdrie United Ltd consortium lost out to Gretna in a vote by SFL clubs to replace Airdrieonians, so the consortium bought Clydebank FC, renamed the club Airdrie United and moved it to Airdrie. They also voluntarily transferred their ownership of the name and insignia of Clydebank F.C. to a supporters group who recreated the club, playing once again as a junior club until the new pyramid restructuring a few years ago.
All of this was done under the aegis of the SFL, which was merged with the SPL in 2013 to form the SPFL. At the same time Airdrie United FC (although legally the direct successor to Clydebank FC) was given permission by the SFA to change the club`s registered name to Airdrieonians FC.
Probably the SFA decision around the same time to agree that Newco Rangers should acquire all the history of Oldco Rangers made it logical to do the same for Airdrie United and Airdrieonians, but although the various business decisions might be considered a bit murky, IMO they were pragmatic and have produced the right result - supporters of East Stirlingshire, Clydebank and Airdrieonians now all have their local clubs playing at senior level and with their preferred names. (As do fans of Rangers!)
