So much for more than 2 teams challenging for the title this season after Rangers poached Shankland and now McInnes from Hearts.

If Hearts recruit wisely, they could still be in contention. There is also no guarantee McInnes will be successful at The Rangers.

While I deplore the practice of attracting the best players (and best managers) from rival clubs, Rangers haven`t behaved illegally. The word "poach" implies otherwise. Of course, if you meant they`ve been "tapped up" you might well be right, Mac. 🤔

McInnes must fancy another shot at finishing second.

I didn’t intend any illegal connotation in “poach,” GG. Poaching is part of play, for instance in doubles tennis.

But the resource gap has allowed the third-placed finisher to sign the top scorer and manager of the second-placed finisher and therefore weakens Hearts materially. Rangers could have looked elsewhere, but that wouldn’t have weakened their competition.

Strange appointment IMO. McInnes has a habit of not winning things, and that`s not going to go down well down Ibrox way.

I`d say he`s a good appointment for them, unfortunately. He`s done very well as a manager, pretty much every team he has had have punched above their weight. I think he will do well there

Thought rangers would have gone for a higher profile manager, from abroad. But, suppose, that has not gone well in the past! Time will tell, let’s see how many weeks he lasts, until the natives get restless!🤣

Rangers and Celtic fans are only two defeats away from having a crisis.

Being a pars fan,you don’t know what you’re going to get .The old firm have no such tolerance. We accept defeat, they don’t,no matter how well the other team performs.
