Doesn’t it require all clubs to have played each other in a competition for the winners to be classified as champions ?

Unless the club support Lennon with a bit of cash asap , He won’t stay long with us , he’ll be away before Jan , Bringing in a couple players from Irish league on a wing and prayer that they’ll be good enough . GK has a massive ? Over him already . Call me a bed wetter etc etc . Give the boys a chance etc etc , unless 3/4 more players come in the door this is going to be a long season .

No.
So, no Scottish Cup winner -only a champion ?
Your first question: will you object to Sunday`s winner being called "World Champions"? That`s what most of the world will call them and they`ll only have played eight of the 48 teams in the competition (plus a handful more in qualifying - but then that would be out of 200+).
Second question: "winner" and "champion" are synonymous in this context and not, as you seem to be suggesting, mutually exclusive.
According to the Oxford English Dictionary (OED), "champion" functions as both a noun and a verb. [1, 2]
Noun: A person, animal, or team that has won first place in a competition or tournament (e.g., a boxing champion). It can also mean a person who enthusiastically fights, defends, or advocates for a cause or principle (e.g., a champion of human rights).
So, even if we don`t win any of these things, we could still be champions of them in the second sense.😁

"Unless the club support Lennon with a bit of cash asap".... like giving him money for transfer fees to pay for 3 out of the 5 signings that he wanted.
"unless 3/4 more players come in the door this is going to be a long season" ..... which they will be working on, only 2 more months of the transfer window to do it in too.

Aye, apparently we’ve got £60m in the bank (from our Scottish Cup run) and our board aren’t releasing it to Lennon to spend. Lennon’s fuming (apparently) and threatening to leave for the job he’s been offered in Saudi for £20m a year……..

"Speaking after Saturday`s defeat, Neil Lennon acknowledged his team are "not ready" and have a lot of work ahead of them in order to be prepared for the season ahead."
No excuse its the same for every team. We are already probable out of the cup. Biggest budget in the Championship now he needs to be winning this league.
Time to prove your the manager everybody keeps saying you are Mr Lennon.

I think sometimes when you start training after a short layoff and for the start of the season you focus on strength and conditioning. It takes a bit of time to build up sharpness/pace that I assume comes with competitive games. Its a bit of a tradeoff sometimes I think for what will be a long league campaign. I also think that coming back after a layoff is a time when you are more prone to injuries due to over stretching, muscle fatigue etc. I think you have to be careful in the first few games I think. In the old days clubs had sprint/athletics coaches to improve pace/speed/breathing but not sure if thats something they still do.
I also think that fitness comes back very quickly after a layoff as you are just toning up rather than trying to build muscle so hopefully we will be ready for the new league campaign.
