Could this game be broadcast on Pars TV?
I would be happy to pay for this as a one-off—I am already an annual subscriber. It would be nice if at least some of the money raised by Pars TV on Saturday were to go to Mo`s testimonial fund.
Just a thought...

Amazed they’ve not managed to organise a legends game for this. He’s very highly thought of amongst the ex players. Hope there’s a good crowd.

10 quid is a good price point too, a friendly and it gives the fans a good chance to say goodbye to Mo.
Hopefully a decent turnout, testimonials can be hard to get numbers in.
A legends game would have been good, but this is good also.
I think it`s great he also gets a testimonial game on top of the other activities to show the clubs and fans appreciation of everything he`s done over such a long time

It`s a good way of giving the players some game time during the international break too.
Why Aberdeen? Does Mo have some connection to them?

To be fair, putting a game on during an international break isn`t going to attract a big crowd - a good proportion of ours and Aberdeen`s fans will be in Skojpe!

I admire his service to the club and wish him all the best but being candid don’t care enough to attend the game, don’t know him nor really been connected to him in any way.
His family and friends will all be there with some of the players from the past so he’ll get a great send off regardless of the crowd.

Shaw and Rudden are miles off it. Bray played well so far, Aberdeen targeting nuri and finding some joy down our right hand side. Poor goal to conceed with 2 pars players near the goalscorer. Looks like 10changes at half time for the dons.
This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.

Despite what you may think, not all my posts about the club, players, etc are `positive`. On the other hand I don`t think Hunter78 ever makes a positive post which I find very strange. If he gets no pleasure from following the Pars, why bother? If he does, why not share it?
On the strength of our squad, I`d say it was as strong as it`s been since we returned to the Championship and losing a bounce game to a Premiership team when we had 6 players on international duty and 2 recovering from long-term injuries isn`t going to change that.

Surely the point of the post was that we had 5 players still out on International duty (Lobban, Kearney, Cleall-Harding, Oyirwoth and Tod) yet were still able to play a reasonably strong team and have a lot of options on the bench? We had some good spells, especially in the first half, abd our equaliser was well deserved. Aberdeen made 7 changes I think at the break, and rheir fresh legs seemed to make the difference early on, then we also made a raft of changes at 3-1. Abdulai isn`t going to be playing right back, Bray isn`t going to be playing right back MacLeod isn`t going to be playing left back, we aren`t going to be playing against players of Aberdeen`s quality (and it wasn`t a `reserve team` either, there were a good mix of players in bith halves for them) and it was a feckin bounce game!

All the best to Mo. I`m glad we did something to thank him for his service to the club. I hope he enjoyed the day.
On the game, I was a bit surprised by just how much better than us Aberdeen looked but I suppose we were missing a lot of first team players, their squad depth is obscene, and we had players playing unorthodox positions.
I thought there was a big physical difference between the teams, and disappointingly we were poor in the final third, and statuesque at the back at times.
Individually Bray and Abdullai played well today.
The guy Mahou that came on for them looked class.

1100 people paid a tenner for a kitman.
I actually think that’s pretty good going.
The game meant nothing, it’s the international break. I took an extra shift at work so I’d be off when the Pars are at home for a league game. I’m pretty sure I won’t be the only one making that choice

Good point on the money part - if Mo keeps the ticket money he’s just made £10k off a game that would normally be behind closed doors as an appreciation of his work for the club over the years. Pretty good going Id say.

Are we seriously taking aim at fans for not giving enough money to the kit man? 🤣
I think Mo Hutton has done a great job for Dunfermline Athletic and deserves the recognition he’s received. I can’t think of any other time I’ve heard of a kit man receiving a testimonial match for his retirement tho.
And for more fans to turn up than a Livi v Airdrie league match - the turn out is pretty good.
