Thought I`d have a wee peak at how our youngsters on loan are getting on this season. Some of them were among the goals today, with Ewan McLeod grabbing East Fife`s consolation in a 2-1 loss at Hamilton, and Jake Sutherland tickled the twine in Montrose`s 3-0 win against Peterhead. In the Cup, Freddie Rowe played in Edinburgh City`s impressive win against Kelty, but Alasdair Davidson didn`t play in that one, and Lucas Fyfe will have been happy to have sat out Stirling Albion`s loss to Renfrew, which the other 2 played in. Trayvion Jackson and Struan McLeod have just gone out on loan to Dundonald Bluebell and both started, but they suffered a hefty 4-1 defeat at home to Preston Athletic.
Good to see so many of them being seen as first team starters for their sides and getting plenty minutes in their legs already.
I`ve stuck their stats (for the ones I could find) for the season so far, below-
Alasdair Davidson, 20, CB, Kelty Hearts. 14 games, 1065 minutes
Ewan McLeod, 20, CM, East Fife. 14 games, 3 goals, 1 assist, 1033 minutes.
