 Set pieces.

10 corner kicks and 4 or 5 throw ins near the box and maybe 3 or 4 played into the box. In contrast, when Stehousemuir had the opportunity it went into the box.
In a team that is finding it tough to score, there is surely more chance from a ball into the box!
I even thought the opposition gave us space for the short corner as we rarely threatened the box.

I am also fed up with them. The idea of a short corner is to work the ball to put in a better cross or get someone in a shooting position and we do neither. Some variety would be nice as well, sometimes put it in the 6 yard box with some pace on it, both centre backs are good in the air.

Speaking of a lack of variety, would still also question why the front 3, especially the wingers can`t rotate positions at least once or twice per game.

A little bit more unpredictability might help us to start scoring.

Interesting that the goal came as a result of a short corner.

Don’t understand how he issue and the constant booing of the short corners is pathetic.

The people booing the short corners are definitely the same people who actively use Facebook. Dinosaurs.

The point above about unpredictability is a good one. The corner routine is really obvious right now.

There was one point late on last night where Tod took the corner and rolled it short to Fraser, who immediately crossed it in. That was a welcome variation as the Stenny players would have expected the same passing around outside the box.

Last week Partick knew we were going to go short and pressed really quickly as soon as the corner was taken. This would have been a good time to genuinely swing it in.

Variation is that is needed.

Why doesn`t someone ask NL about it in an interview? The interviews are more predictable than the corners.

The goal we scored to win at Morton was very similar to last night`s winner. I suppose keeping the defenders wondering about the point of attack may unsettle them and draw them out of position.

I must have missed the barrel load of goals we`ve scored in recent years by punting the ball in the box every time we had a corner.
