 2022-23 Squealadeal Prediction League

Just a quick reminder to all our predictors.

Like last season I am putting the current top scorer in the league and the team currently filling the top spot down as Winner and Top Scorer.

In a season like last year where very few of us predicted these well - there was little impact.

This season, so far, that is not the case. Whilst top scorer is not changing anything - the same cannot be said for top spot.

Last week one predictor had Airdrie gaining them 10 points on the rest of us. This week most of us gained 10 points for having "Dunfermline" while poor old Airdrie predictor "lost" 10 points. Equally, until we make some tweaks, those selecting "Pars" or "Dunfermline Athletic" are missing out on the 10 points.

Normally, this is a check we do at the end of the season. I have created the wee issue - but it will be sorted very soon.

I could be missing something but I didn`t receive 10 points and I have Dunfermline as league winners.

It should all be sorted now.

Predictors who initially had Dunfermline Athletic were not getting allocated extra points.

But our programmers have sorted it.

Equally, so have Airdrie by going top!

I can`t see extra points being added for having Dunfermline last week. I had just "Dunfermline" down as my winning team. I`ve probably totally misunderstood your OP. In just very competitive 😂

When the Pars go back on top (next week) we can have another check to see if there is an issue.

I can`t see any extra points for having Dunfermline as league winners. I may be looking at it wrong but I have 50 points from my predictions which add up correctly so can`t see where I`ve been allocated extra points.

Do not panic. Our IT boffins will undertake a thorough review. Whilst we have the rest of the season to get it sorted our SLA is far shorter than that.

Watch this space or do something more interesting.

So our IT Team have worked through the night to identify and correct the pesky bug in the system.

The addition of a space after the word Dunfermline in the winning Team entry box seems to be the cause.

This has been corrected in 4 entries including NikNakPar`s.

Thanks to NikNakPar for taking the time to count up his score each week and identify the issue.
