Ahh, l used a vhs/dv tape recorder via firewire into a pc with video capture card.
I don't know about singing vids, got tonnes of old tapes all over the place, depends on what l can find.

Pure quality, got goose bumps myself with the semi at tynecastle. what a bad game it was though. 1 - 0 down untill we got that dodgy penalty right at the death. Andy Rhodes saving those penaltys then throwing his gloves into the crowd at the end. What a night, remember it till i`m grey and old.
p.s remember after that game the press were saying that Rhodes was the best keeper in Britain and he should get a cap for England .

Brilliant EES, was at that semi also in the corner of the covered terrace, remember the place going totally mental for about 5 min after we scored, pure magic. Even better was watching the highlights and Jimmy Sandisons face after the penalty was given, great night. And what a support.

How much would one of those set you back EES? And does it have to be Firewire or could you connect it via a Scart/RF cable through some sort of box of tricks? Quite interested in doing that myself to some matches I have on tape.

That was a great piece of work EES.
Norrie scored another penalty in the League Cup run, when we won a shoot-out against St Mirren. They were at the home end and I think he hit it hard and into the top corner. Kozma also took a penalty and scored in style.
ps Larbert Par - your Dad wasn't at the Tynecastle semi-final as there was a Cowdenbeath reserves match away to Stranraer on the same night and he chose to go on the Blue Brazil tandem.

Looking back, it's bizarre that a blue and red checked shirt was deemed acceptable against a team wearing orange rather than just wearing black and white stripes!

True Jason. If you slow down the footage - if you are sad enough to do it like myself - then you find if the contact was minimal. Although I doubt if there was any at all, Malpas knew exactly what he was doing.
