A shocking case indeed. Thank goodness that serious crime is at a forty year low in Scotland and that we are not suffering from a knife crime/murder epidemic that seems prevalent in England just now.
Despite the ocassional horror story like this one it seems that Police Scotland and the Scottish government are in general doing a good job.
But when folk like you Mario are obsessed with digging out all the bad news and ignoring the good news ably assisted by a media with an agenda then there will be people out there who believe that it is all bad news.
I am sure the victims family will be distraut obviously and it is a tragedy that should have been avoided.
There are issues here that need addressed and unfortunately cases like this will crop up from time to time. Scotland and Turkey have more people per head of population in jail than any other European country and yet Scotland’s murder rate has been falling for some time now.
The Met have been in regular discussion with Police Scotland for sometime now taking advice on how to reduce the epidemic they have in London just now with knife crime, so it is not all bad news and once agiain no comfort to the victims family in this horrific case.
I am sure there are many similar cases all over the UK, not just in Scotland.

Knife crime in England and Wales up 22% in 2017. Gun crime up 11%.
Scotland? Since 2007......69% reduction......
Well done Police Scotland and the Scottish government.
