Through the misery that the conservatives have inflicted on Britain through the 80s, 90s and now. One thing is certain, they will always turn on each other.
I despise Boris Johnstone, but he would have shown more class if he had resigned over the third runway at Heathrow, as he said he would.

The Tories always turn on each other because they are two parties rolled into one. The moderates and the swivel-eyed nutjobs can unite against an unpopular Labour government (1979 and 2010) just to get their foot in the door, but they can't stay together for very long.
The problem is that Labour now has the same issue.

It's sickening, really. Johnson's departure has nothing to do with his own political beliefs. He will just be distancing himself from the mess (that he helped to create) so that he can return in a few months/years in a better position.
He tried to position himself for the PM job during the EU referendum but it all backfired with the result then Gove's backstabbing. I hope it backfires again this time.

The truth about Boris and Grove is that they didn't want the Brexit vote in effect, just a close enough vote to put their weight behind a leadership contest.
Brexit was always about the Tory party and not the UK.

Not to mention a cheeky bump to their own personal ambitions at being PM.

Genuinely believe Ruth Davidson will end up being their leader and will do a better job. She seems like a more liberal Tory.
I worry where the Tory's go next. They got rid of loads of the council houses, they screwed over the disabled (Labour started it), they've almost succeeded in turning us into Little Britain...suppose it must be the NHS. Rename it NHS Corp and charge old Mrs Smith £5k for her wheelchair unless she can prove she can't just crawl down to the shops.

I'd agree if Ruth wasn't pregnant but for that reason alone, I can't see it.

Despy you can only aspire to being a mere mortal. Blethering as if you are mortal isn’t enough.
And onlytakes..if only someone would.
