To continue the 'oven ready' metaphor, if Johnson's gamble can win popular support then this Xmas Poll will surely become known as the 'Turkey Election.'
It's not a bright outlook for either party. If Johnson wins he takes office with around 50% of the voters opposed to his main policy of Brexit and another 10% who will call him a traitor when he tries to 'get it done' in some deal with the EU. If he ever does 'get it done' Brexit might become Ingerexit so that poor Prince Charles will end up becoming King of the Home Counties and Workington or such like.
If Corbyn heads a coalition then the Lib Dems will jump ship within weeks, Sturgeon will demand Indyref 2 and the banking sector will be working out how best to arrange a run on the pound.
