Resigns his membership of the English Labour Party after 35 years, citing the lies that they told the British voters prior to the election. His letter to Starmer is a bit of a tirade against broken promises and to be frank policies that even the Tories might have thought twice about introducing.
I am not in the least surprised at the way the Red Tories are behaving.
It’s hard to fathom…..for me at least…why so called intelligent people in Scotland actually voted for them.
Red Tory/ Blue Tory, it makes no difference.
As part of a dysfunctional Union we in Scotland can vote for WM parties until we are blue or even red in the face and we just get more of the same. Economic illiteracy, fiscal irresponsibility, rich protected and getting richer and the poor getting squeezed more and more. Standards of living plummeting, social services being destroyed, health service being set up for privatisation whilst Streeting and his cronies line their pockets due to their connection to big Pharma and a multitude of other companies, many US based who are circling like Sharks.
What a mess the U.K. is in.
Still, we can live in hope that the powers that be will sort it all out and that there is a bright prosperous future just round the corner for Scotland. I mean the better together and the broad shoulders rhetoric was, well meaningful right? They were genuine right? It certainly convinced enough people in Scotland to vote NO in 2014.
I wonder how most of them feel now? Surely they can’t be thinking , “ Let’s give them a few more years” , “ one or two more elections, “, “Scotland could never survive or thrive on its own” why? “ Because the very people who are making a complete horses *** of everything told me so” . People outside of the U.K. looking in must be wondering why the Scots put up with so much ****.
Our staunch Unionists on here can’t be thinking that this is the only way…..no rational intelligent human being would close the door on other options….Well Parboiled would, but that’s another story..
If only we had one….Another option…….surely we would take it? Jump on that life boat before HMS Britannia’s sinks below the waves…..and drags Scotland down with it.. If we don’t, what a terrible future we are consigning future generations too.
If the likes of Findlay are bailing out on the Red Tories there will be many , many more.
Wonder what mast they will nail their colours too now ?
What an opportunity we missed in 2014.
