From Bluesky News:
U.S. National Security Adviser Mike Waltz and his deputy Alex Wong were dismissed from the Trump administration, Fox News reported on May 1, following a high-profile Signal group chat leak involving sensitive military discussions.

Rightly so. Waltz was the one who set up the Signal group and added a journalist to it where they discussed an attack on Yemeni terrorists.
A security breach like that he should have faced jail time not just being forced to resign.

Amazing that The Last Waltz has taken so long given the treatment of other Federal employees.
Now the internal chaos from Trump 1.0 government will start.
Sooner he gets rid of his Press Secretary the happier I`ll be.

Main Stream Media headlines are written for the gullible.
Waltz has been nominated for the US UN ambassador gig.

You must be stupid if you don`t think he should have been removed from his post as soon as his mistake was discovered.
Absolutely crazy these lunatics are running the asylum

Oh the irony, Bletchley Par.
I wrote my post two hours before Trump announced MW’s nomination for ambassador. Not sure why you’d expect any news outlet to know what he was going to say unless you think they can see into the future.

The sequence of events was very deliberate by Trump.
Walz probably should have been sacked, but the Republicans still have a pass on security lapses due to Obama not firing Hillary for the private email fiasco and she should have been jailed for "bleaching" the server.
If Walz does not get through the nomination process for the UN gig, Trump has managed to get rid of him without sacking him.
