Quite a big deal.... the biggest deal ever done according to some of those with a careful eye on the detail.
No idea why it has taken the EU quite so long to stop buying Russian energy.

On the face of it the EU has capitulated big time to Trump. A 15% tariff slapped on all EU imports into the US (the UK negotiated 10%) and the Europeans have agreed to , over the next three years buy $750 billion worth of oil, nuclear fuel, LNG and semiconductors while at the same time investing $600 billion into the US ,mostly by buying American military equipment.
One of the big arguments against leaving the EU is that the bigger bloc would be able to negotiate better terms than the UK could on its own. Well they couldn`t this time.
And although my eyes were open
They just might as well be closed
